Synopsis
Nineteen year old Lily brings her best friend, Keira, to a
small unknown caf. Lily is hoping to find a man she had a
one-night stand with a week earlier, after going to a new
club. Lily has tracked down the man, Matt, and is hoping he
will be as happy to see her as she is to see him. But Lily
doesnt know what shes getting herself into when she arrives
at the caf. The man that she adores so much might not be all
that she is expecting.

INT. KEIRAS APARTMENT - MORNING

There is a knock on Keiras door. Keira is in bed and after
three knocks, she rolls over. She looks tired. She looks at
the clock and groans. There is another knock on the door.
KEIRA
(shouts)
Coming. Im coming.
Keira gets out of bed and walks slowly to the front door. She
opens the door to reveal Lily.
LILY
(excited)
Keira! What are you doing?
Come on get dressed.
Keira
(yawning)
Lily? You know its early
right? And that I dont
do early?
Lily pulls Keiras arm, leading her into the bedroom and pulls
out clothes from her draws.
KEIRA
What are you doing? Whatever
it is, can you do it later?
Like tomorrow or next week?
Keira climbs back into bed and pulls the covers over herself.
Lily looks at her and shakes her head. She stops rummaging

through Keiras draws and pulls the cover off Keira.

LILY
Come on. Get up. There are
important things happening
today.
KEIRA
Whats more important than
sleep?
LILY
(smiling)
Ive met a guy.
Keira sits up in the bed. Both she and Lily are staring at
each other, smiling.
KEIRA
Pass me my pants.

EXT. STREET - MORNING

Lily and Keira are running down the street. Lily is running
just slightly faster than Keira.
KEIRA
Slow down, Lily.
LILY
I cant. Come on its just
around the next corner.

Keira stops in the street to catch her breath. Lily looks

behind her and runs back to Keiras side.
LILY (CONTD)
Come on, were not getting
any younger, you know?
KEIRA
Hold up. Whats around the
corner exactly?
LILY
The man of my dreams.
Lily and Keira smile at each other again. Then continue
running down the street.

INT. CAF - MORNING

Rachel is sitting at a back table; an empty jug of water is
sitting on the table. Matt walks in from the kitchen in a
waiters outfit. He is carrying a plate of food in one hand. He
walks over to Rachel and gives her the food.
MATT
One breakfast special. Is
there anything else I can
get you?
RACHEL
Thanks. Just another jug
of water, please.

Matt walks back into the kitchen returning a moment later with
a new jug of water. He places it on the table and walks once
again into the kitchen.

EXT. OUTSIDE THE CAF - MORNING

Lily and Keira arrive out the front of the caf. A large pink
sign can be seen that says Caf Love. Both the girls look up
at the sign.
KEIRA
(sarcastically)
Nice name.
Keira turns to face Lily.
KEIRA (CONTD)
You sure this is the place?
LILY
Looks like it. Cant you
just feel the excitement?
Lets go.
Lily leads the way and the two girls enter the caf.

INT. CAF - MORNING

Lily and Keira walk through the front door. Rachel is sitting
at the back table eating her breakfast. She looks up at the
two girls as they walk in. Lily and Keira look around the room
and take a seat at a table near the front of the caf.

KEIRA
Alright spill.
LILY
Spill what?
KEIRA
Oh come on. You turn up at
my place, early I might add,
with no explanation except
that youve met a guy. Which
you do every other week.
LILY
I do not.
KEIRA
(ignoring Lily)
Then you make me run, which
I dont particularly like
doing early in the morning,
to this caf Ive never heard
of. Did I mention that its
early?
Lily ignores Keiras complaints and smiles widely.
KEIRA
What are you smiling about?
LILY
Ive met the one, Keira. The
one.

KEIRA
Didnt you say the same
thing last week about that,
what was his name?
LILY
James. But he was just a
convenient way of helping me
find, the one. A supernatural
tool sent to guide me to my
true love.
KEIRA
Its way too early to be
thinking about this. What are
you talking about? Who is this
hunky man?
LILY
(confused)
Hunky? When did I use that term?
KEIRA
You would have eventually.
All the men you like are
hunky in some way or another.
Anyway, tell me the story.
Lily sits up straight in her seat and giggles. Keira is no
longer tired and listens intensely to Lily.

EXT. FLAMINGO FLENZY CLUB - NIGHT

It is a week earlier. Lily is standing in line to get into the
Flamingo Frenzy club.
LILY (V.O)
Ok. Well, it all started when
I went to that club last
weekend. You know the new one
that James, tool of love and all,
told me about. Flamingo Frenzy.

INT. CAF - MORNING

Back to present with Keira and Lily at their table.
KEIRA
Oh yeah, with all that salsa
music.
Keira begins to shake her arms to imaginary music and pretends
to play maracas.
LILY
(laughing)
Yeah, well I went, I dancedKEIRA
-And you met the man of your
dreams, like a fairytale.
LILY
Ha! Always the romantic arent
you, Keira?

INT. INSIDE THE CLUB - NIGHT

Keira is dancing on the dance floor, when a man, Matt, whose
face is hidden, comes and dances with her.
LILY (V.O)
Anyway, I was dancing to this
real boppy number when he
came up and started dancing
next to me.
KEIRA (V.O)
What was he wearing?
LILY (V.O)
Black tee and hair gel.
KEIRA (V.O)
Good combo.

INT. CAF - MORNING

Back to present with Keira and Lily at their table. The two
girls giggle. Rachel is seen in the background occasionally
looking up at the girls, listening to their conversation.
LILY
Im not really sure how it
happened but we just started
dancing together, real close
together. It was amazing, he
was a really good dancer,

knew all the right moves.

KEIRA
(smirking)
I bet he did.

INT. CLUB - NIGHT

Keira is at the bar with the mystery man, drinking.
LILY (V.O)
Well, then the music changed
and I was thirsty, so he
asked if he could buy me a
drink and I said yes.
KEIRA (V.O)
Of course, Nice.

INT. CAF - MORNING

Back to present with Keira and Lily at their table.
LILY
So, he got me a drink and then
we got to talking. It wasnt
anything interesting. He just
asked questions about me. You
know, he seemed genuinely
interested in who I was as a
person.
KEIRA

(smiling)
Quite the catch youve got
there, Lily. Hunky and
genuinely interested in
someone other than himself.
What happened next?
LILY
Well, there was some flirting
and more dancing. He told me
I looked beautiful and then
asked if we could get out of
there.
KEIRA
He doesnt waste any time,
another tick on the checklist.
Keira uses her finger to draw an imaginary tick in the air.

EXT. OUTSIDE THE CLUB - NIGHT

Keira is seen hailing a taxi. Taxi drives up. Keira and Matt
get in, his face still hidden from sight.
LILY (V.O)
So, next thing I know, were
grabbing our coats and leaving
the club. He calls for a taxi
and we go back to mine. I
lived closer.

INT. CAF - MORNING

KEIRA
And let me guess, a night of
passionate love making pursued?
LILY
More or less. Well, more.
Both the girls laugh together.
KEIRA
Thats a great story, Lily.
So he called and asked
you to meet him here?
LILY
Well, not exactly. We sort of
forgot to swap numbers. I was
in a hurry the next morning to
go to work, so was he and we
just forgot.
KEIRA
So then how do you know hes
here? Youre not stalking him
are you, like Kyle?
LILY
I didnt stalk, Kyle. We just
happened to be at the same
places at the same time.

KEIRA
You followed him to a coffee
store five suburbs away from
where you work and live.
LILY
(slightly annoyed)
It was good coffee. Anyway, I
just went back to the club and
asked the bouncer if he knew
him. The bouncer said a guy
matching his description
worked at this caf.
KEIRA
And so you woke me up early
this morning to stalk him?
LILY
Exactly, wait, what? Im not
a stalker!
Keira laughs hysterically while Lily makes a grumpy face.
KEIRA
Well, geez, Lily. Looks like
youve found the perfect guy,
finally.
LILY
I hope so.
Matt walks out from the kitchen and stands at the front bench,

picking up menus.
LILY
(excited and whispering)
Keira, thats him!
Rachel looks up suddenly at the two girls and then at Matt.
LILY (CONTD)
(sighing)
Thats Matt.
Shock fills Rachels face.
KEIRA
Hes cute.
Matt begins to walk over to the two girls, menus in hand, when
Rachel stands up from her seat and slaps him across the face.
Both Keira and Lily have no idea whats going on and look
shocked.
MATT
Rachel?
Rachel picks up the jug of water and tips it over Matts head.
She then walks to the front door. Keira and Lily still sit in
their sits shocked.
RACHEL
Cheating bastard!
Rachel walks out the door, slamming it behind her.
