The presentations in MIKE View are founded on the primary result files from MOUSE (*.PRF) and MIKE11 (*.RRF and *.RES11):
During a MIKE View session, at least one
primary result file has to be loaded (Open). An arbitrary number of various primary files can simultaneously be loaded.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Add File
All other types of result files can be added into the presentation of a primary file, as long as the full consistency with the primary file is preserved.
There can be several files of the same or of
different types added to one primary file.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Viewing External
Time Series A MIKE View presentation can be enhanced by external time series, e.g. from a MOUSE time series database or from an ASCII file.
External time series are extracted and
maintained in an External Time Series file (*.ETS).
MOUSE
MIKE View Graphical Windows
A MIKE View presentation is an arbitrary combination of the following types of graphical windows: Horizontal Plan Window Overview Window Longitudinal Profile Window Time Series Window Q-H Relation Window
The horizontal plan window is the main window
of the presentation. All other windows are activated from the horizontal plan. If a horizontal window is closed, all associated windows of the presentation are also closed.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Horizontal Plan
A MIKE View horizontal plan visualizes the following information: - network connectivity (Standard plan) - system information (invert levels, links diameter, slopes) - simulation results in nodes and in links, as: animated presentation maximum envelope minimum envelope. The results in links are presented with a palette of colours. The results in nodes are presented with different colours and with graduated symbols.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Horizontal Plan
Features
MIKE View horizontal plan features the
following facilities: - full zoom and panning - background files (*.DXF and *.BMP) - graphics export to the Clipboard - graphics export to MIKE Print - wide control of graphical set-up.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Time Series Window
A single or multiple time series in nodes or in computational points in links can be presented in MIKE View time series window. The time series selection is activated under the Plot menu OR by the toolbar buttons.
When the wanted
data type type and the result file are selected, the time series is selected from the list or using the point-and-click technique on the horizontal plan.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Working with Time
Series Window
The local menu contains
a series of functions and options for the work with the time series window: - Add and Delete time series - Zoom - Export of graphics and data - Graphical options - Time series info.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Save / Load Layout
A complete MIKE View presentation layout can be saved into a file (*.CLA) under a horizontal plan window local menu:
A complete MIKE View presentation layout can be
loaded under the Tools menu: The presentation primary result file can be exchanged with another file of the same type.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Save / Load Window
A current MIKE View window layout can be saved into a file (*.WLA) under a local menu of the current window:
A MIKE View window layout can be loaded under
the horizontal plan local menu:
The window layout file contains the information
about the window type, position, contents and graphical features. Actual data are taken from the primary and secondary result files associated with the current horizontal plan.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Longitudinal Profile
A profile selection is activated under the Plot menu, OR by a Profile toolbar button.
The local menu contains
tools and functions for the work with the longitudinal profile. For the repeated viewing of the same profile, the profile sequence is saved into the window layout file (*.WLA).
MOUSE
MIKE View - Q-H Curve
A selection of the Q-H curve is activated under the Plot menu, OR by a Q-H Curve toolbar button.
The graphical options and
appearance, graphics and data export for the Q-H curve graph are controlled under the local menu.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Animation
Results can be viewed as animated presentations in horizontal plan and longitudinal profile. The current is indicated by the animation clock in the heading line of the animated window. Time series and Q-H curves can also be included in an animated presentation. The current time is indicated by a vertical line moving along the time axis. The animation is controlled by the tape recorder buttons on the toolbar: Play Stop Pause
Rewind to Start
Forward to End
MOUSE
MIKE View - Synchronized
Animation All currently opened windows are included into a synchronized animation under the Animation menu.
Any window can be individually toggled IN and
OUT of the synchronized presentation.
The synchronization of all windows implies also
the synchronization of windows from various result files (e.g. MOUSE and MIKE 11), which opens the possibility for the integrated catchment analysis presentations.
MOUSE
MIKE View - Computed Variables
MIKE View can display some variables, derived from the network topography and the calculated results. The Compute function is activated under the Tools menu:
The computed variables are:
Depth = water level - invert level Flood = water level - ground level Pressure = water level - conduit top level Pipe filling = depth/diameter Qmanning = full pipe normal flow
MOUSE
MIKE View - Print Window
Any MIKE View window can be printed directly from MIKE View. The standard Windows Print functions are activated under the File menu:
MOUSE
MIKE View - Scaled print
MIKE View Horisontal Plot can be printed in a user-specified scale The Scaled Print function is activated from the File menu (Horizontal plot must be active).
