PROJECT SYNOPSIS

Title: Electricity Generation through windmill

Introduction
In many parts of the world, you can tap the power of the wind to generate nonpolluting renewable
electricity. Wind plant designs have improved so much and the costs of oil, coal, natural gas and nuclear
power are so high that many power companies are building large-scale wind plants.

The more we rely on renewable energy, the less dependent we are on utility giants and nonrenewable,
polluting fossil fuels. With world oil and gas supplies dwindling, experts estimate electricity prices will
increase significantly in the coming years.
To encourage the shift to wind are various government programs offer personal tax credits, property tax
exemptions, low-interest loans and rebate programs.

Motivation
We have got motivated to take up this project due to following reasons:
1) There is a huge shortage of electricity in India
2) The demand-supply gap is increasing due to growth of the industries
3) Governments are unable to cope up to produce electricity through thermal power plants
4) Wind & Solar energy is available abundantly everywhere & free of cost.
5) Since last 10 to 15 years we have seen very huge development in wind energy generation by cos like
TATA Power, Suzlon Energy & Enercon in Western Maharashtra region which is an indicator of good
returns on investment.
6) Due to load shedding in peak hours people are unable to do simple tasks also dependent on
electricity.
7) A wind plant may not be able to meet 100 percent of energy needs, but it can offset energy bills.

Objectives and Scope

This project aims at highly cost effective Electricity Generation through windmill in concert with solar
panels for every urban and rural homes & offices. It is very simple to construct & operate & can be very
easily customized to suit the needs of different homes & offices.
