ABSTRACT

The primary objective of this study is to conduct a survey through questionnaire in various
engineering industries in Palakkad and to explore the importance of inventory management in
enhance their performance and also to find the major factors influencing inventory management
and to establish a relation between Inventory management and firm performance
The study in the contest of engineering enterprises in Palakkad established a very strong
relationship between the firm performance and inventory management, also the importance of
pursuing good inventory management practice were established in the various engineering
industries in Palakkad.
