Section 10. Capstone Project
Capstone Project is required for BSIT, BSIS
and BSICT. It should be in the form of
systems application or an enterprise
resource plan.

What is Capstone Project?


It is a required course for Senior level
BSIT/BSICT student in their last Semester,
"it is consultative in nature class which
involves a periodic, regular meeting with
faculty-in-charge." This course provides an
integrative learning experience which
allows students to work in group to apply
their prior learning to an integration
project. It should be in the form of a
systems application. (A group of related
applications programs designed to perform
a specific function) or an enterprise
resource plan.

analysis of a selected area in
information and communication
technology, or the development of
an innovative solution to a significant
problem using industry level
information and communication
technology applications or tools in
various fields or area such as: art,
business, marketing, accounting,
economics, human relations, natural
science, social science, health
science, information, communication
technology, and/or communitybased needs (for CES) .

This consists of clear statements of the intended outcomes,


all which can be measured in some way. The SMART
(Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timebound) objectives should break your research proposal into
major stages and state an output, which would guide you in
planning and negotiating your work with your supervisor.

individuals, groups, institutions and to the
discipline. Mention who are to benefit
from the research and how each maybe
benefited.

FINALIZATION OF GROUPINGS
1. Grouping should have 4 members and could
be mixed of BSIT and BSICT.
2. Project Proposal should be presented and
approved by a set of panel which will be on the
3rd week of October.
3. All groups should fill-out the official form
from the department for conformance.
