POOLSTONES by Sofikitis, is launching

the new Innovative Modular Grate patterned to
fit in all Overflow Pools water drain channels.
This new product made by Marble or other
preferable Natural Stone, in rich colors and
textures, double plated with porcelain for safety
and durability, is intended to replace any other
types of Overflow Grate, designed to fit any
rectangular or curvilinear Overflow channel
following the design of any free-shape Pool,
Spa, Fountain, Hammam and Leisure area.
Any module has a length of 3,7cm or 5,7cm,
width ranging between 19,5cm and 24,5cm
and connected with small joints fitted on the
bottom side. The upper side Marble/Natural
Stone is curved and sandblasted to become non
slippery and safe.
These modules are assembled easily and can
be placed in the overflow channel by anyone,
whenever, by just following the usual cleaning
routine of the overflow channel.
Recommended for those who prefer to
replace the existing grates, for those who our
renovating their Pool area, and, definitely for
all new projects.
This Modular Grate has been patterned to offer
durability, long life, drain efficiency, safety,
luxury finishing and reasonable price.

mostly for VIPs pools, like the other Greek marble factories.
In 2002 we begun the standardization of copings production for the needs of the market,
and after 10 years we ended up being the specialists in the field.

In 2002, when our factory started

the production of Marble drain Grates,
we manufactured the Flat drain Grate
with wide slots of 12mm, todays Model C0.

One year later, we manufactured

the Curved drain Grate, for more effective
water drainage, Model C1. Shortly, we started
to manufacture Grates with slim slots of 6mm,
Models D0 and D1 in order to comply
with UK safety regulations.
Following 8 years of Research & Development,
in 2011 & 2012 we resulted in enriching
our range of Marble drain Grates with
all the Models presented in this Catalogue.

Drain Grates
The construction of a patent machine measuring the water
drainage capacity, resulted in manufacturing Grates with
fewer slots, and, in 2011 we manufactured our best seller
product, Grate Model B, having slim and few slots, and Grate
Model R, which successfully drains overflowing water.
Reinforcement of Marble Grates with Stainless Steel (Inox) or

Porcelain, led us in developing our Modular drain Grate which
can be fitted to any free shape Pool Overflow channel.
Recently, we enhanced the strength our Grates, by double

plating them underneath with different materials, like,
Stainless Steel, Porcelain or reconstituted Marble.

What a Trapezoid Coping or
It is a usually a small size coping or drain grate, so that it follows a curve in broken
lines. It concerns the cheapest decoration solution for a curved pool. The oblique
line may be cut at the factory according to the drawing, or on site by the fitter. It is
proposed as a low-cost solution when having open curves with large radius.

Starting July 2012, we provide to our old and new customers a photorealistic
depiction of specific requests that are accompanied with drawings.The
customer forwards the drawing of the pool in AutoCad file ending
in dwg, and selects the material and the profile that he would
prefer to use around the pool.

Visualization of a Pool
The drawing of the pool in AutoCad is necessary when the pools design is not
a simple one. If the design is a simple one, then, a simple drawing in pdf file
is enough. Our technical dept provides 1-2 options of the project, coated with
different stones and profile.
This service is offered Free of Charge, unless the client requests more options.

Digital mapping
We undertake the digital mapping of the pool by our specialized partners

using its own digital equipment. The mapping is done using Digitizer,
Proliner type and the company is fully responsible for the precise production
of the marble components of the project.

It is necessary for pools of curvilinear or free shape for which curved marble
components of total precision are fitted. When the marble components are
trapezoidal, simple measuring methods may be used. This digital mapping service
may be charged wherever applicable, and varies depending on the mileage
distance of the project and the travel and accomodation cost.
Alternatively, if the pool size is small, the

mapping of the pool can be concluded after
the pool structure has been completed,
by means of template produced by the
project engineer or the fitter of the pool.

The customer supplies the company with the raw material (marble) and the
company undertakes to produce the profiles, copings and grates selected design.
The company will specify the dimensions and the quantity that will be needed in
order to coat the pools perimeter. To this quantity an estimate 12-14% is added
as extra pieces for safety, to cover possible wastage during the building stages of
the project- starting from process of raw material to the final fitting.

Strength Tests &

The company has recently proceeded with all necessary tests, to the stones
commonly used for pools.Necessary tests have been performed and certified by an
accredited laboratory for decorative rocks.

However, because the natural stones differ greatly from batch to batch, it is
advisable to have frequently measurements of the basic strength characteristics
of rock, even from a sample of each different batch of rock.
For this purpose, the company manufactured and calibrated its own machines for
testing the rocks. In this way within 2013 the company will acquire direct access
to lab results for each batch of marble destined to the production line, including
the customers raw materials.
In addition, the company proceeded in

design & construction of 2 prototype
testing machines, One for measuring the
drainage ability of grates and the other
for checking the surfaces resistance of
the marble to thousands steps.

Customers will be able to check at any time at which stage their orders are

treatment, where the latest research in the field of chemical means allows
up to 15 years of life, provided that the procedure is performed repeatedly
following manufacturers instructions.
Also, as result to the improvement of the liquid boosting agents,

low consistency rocks, such as sandstones.

Transportation & Insurance

The company delivers all products at its plant in Epidaurus (FCA - Incoterms 2010).
The transportation to the work site remain at the risk and responsibility
of the customer who bears, also, the cost.
However, the company in order to offer a convenient to the customer
logistics service, undertakes to follow up the transportation and risks
coverage of the delivery.
This can be done for any delivery of order, within the country or abroad,
after having received the written approval of the terms,
conditions and cost from the customer.

Installation Instructions and Fitting Responsibility
The products when shipped to the customer are accompanied

with printed instructions and sketches in English language.
Further, they are filed digitally in the projects file for every use.

Starting from the detailed Packing List that accompanies each order and is
linked to the pallet label, the customer shall also be informed digitally how to
fit specially curved parts, as well as, for the fitting details shown in sections.
If the parts are accompanied with insulating tape (Armaflex) which much
be placed underneath the marble grate, or, with the lifting hook
of the marble grate, there are additional instructions included.
As part to this service, please note that we respond with great pleasure
when clients ask us to recommend fitters or installation experts - especially
in Greece - where the travel cost is relatively low.

Small secrets for the longevity of products made from natural

This service has been designed to inform the client on how to waterproof
the stone, how to strengthen the surface of a porous stone, how to prevent

of keeping the pool components as new through the years, as the choice
of a natural pool stone is considered as real investment.

Through the years and while using the pool, despite having read the instructions
for proper use and maintenance of the decorative stones, several accidents is
likely to occur, such as, breakage of a grate when removing from the channel or
staining or damage from negligent poor care.

The company keeps for 2 years digital record with details of the customers
order, as well as, the color sample with regards to exact repetition of pool parts.
Further to the 2years period, the file is destroyed unless the customer asks to be
kept for up to 20 years, by paying a very low fee.

Our commercial partners who buy full containers, store material in their
premises and distribute products to contractors, further to special pricing,
are also offered Branding Support Services by our company.

Branding Support to partners, is provided by either engraving the logo

of our company or the partners trade mark to certain products, so that
the partner builds its own brand within the market and the products are
distinguished from competition.
Most common practice is to repeat the trade mark every 20-30 pieces,
or apply only to special pieces, like, angular caps.
The charge for this marking is always agreed between the company
and the partner.
However, in case the commercial partner undertakes to manufacture and
supply the necessary models for its trade mark, from elastic material, there
is absolutely no charge involved when marking the ordered products.
Besides just marking a logo,
