Notes:

A.  For all of you who are attending CWWA Module 3, this module takes the knowledge and skills
that you have learned in Modules 1 and 2 and will ask you to apply it during the four days

This means that you will be asked in groups to produce a presentation, or outline/activities for groups
and present it to the participants on Day Four (Thursday).  You may want to bring resources to help you
and your colleagues.  You will also be given ample time in session to work in your groups.

Please think about which group you would like to join (choose 2 as your first choice might be full) and
join a group that you have little or no experience in facilitating  (if that’s possible)

1. Design a mother’s support program specifically for Children Who Witness Abuse Mothers
2. Develop two children’s games or activities (1 for teens and 1 for children)  that will help foster
self esteem, safety , or a feeling of recognition and that can be used in an individual or group
session
3. Prepare a presentation about the CWWA program for an audience of resistant elementary and
secondary school staff
4. Design a children’s support program (group) for children who have been exposed to family
violence
5. Design a support program (group)  for youth who have been exposed to family violence

B.  Day 1 we will talk about connecting your CWWA program to schools in your community.  For
those of you whose programs are working in schools, if you’re comfortable, may be asked to
share your experiences (what you’re doing in schools and how you’re doing it).  This is also an
opportunity for your colleagues to ask you questions.  If you do not feel comfortable speaking
about your experiences, please let me know.

C. We will also be looking at program evaluations.  If any of you have your own program
evaluations (pre/post survey) please bring them with you.

D. We will have a professional evaluator attend CWWA Module 3 on Tuesday.  If you are currently
using evaluation forms for your program please bring them OR email them to Rhiannon Wong
by January 11th, 2010 so that I can forward them to the evaluator

Thanks so much!

I look forward to seeing you all in January!

Rhiannon
