This procedure book mentioned an upgrading method of firmware.
Please execute F/W Version UP twice according to the following procedure.
Note :F/W Verup from F/W Ver 1.x.x or 2.x.x or 3.x.x to F/W Ver 3.1.7 should execute F/W Verup twice.
:F/W before Ver1.4.1 should execute F/W Verup of Ver1.4.5.
:If program download would be failed by using PNMSj, please execute download by using PNMTj
locally (connect to NE directly).

(1) Connect to PNMxj.
It connects with PNMxj, and Login is done.

By a maintenance menu, please make it a maintenance mode.

(3) Program Download execution

Program File Download is selected from the CTRL menu.

a.Please choose Package Program
b.Push a browser button and choose a file
c. A file to choose is NEW Program file(*.pfp)

(*.pfp). In an example, use a file of "pn-ctrl317.pfp"
d.Push an Execute button.

Program Download started.

A download is finished in about approximately 15 minutes.

(4) CPU RESET execution

When download is completed. Push the CPU Reset" button.

Execution of CPU Reset

After selecting CTRL, and putting the check in with ROM(Program) Switching. Execute.

Please select OK" though the following Warning message is displayed.

PNMxj and Dial-up connection cuts.

Reconnect to PNMxj
Push the Retry" button and Login is done.

Confirm the version

Please confirm a version(Current Bank) with an inventory screen.

Downloaded Version
CTRL F/W Version-Current Bank: Becoming the version that you downloaded. (example Version 3.1.7)
Version up work of firmware is the end of the first time if you can confirm that F/W version.
Please begin Verup of the second times.
When versions are different, please carry it out in the same procedure again.
