HOW TO APPLY

Step 1- Go to www.kvpy.org.in and click on KVPY 2014 application and you will be guided to the
"main page".
Step 2- Make a note of the important dates and eligibilty criteria.
Step 3- Make a choice of submittting your application either "online mode" or "offline"
If your choice is online Go to step 4
If your choice is offline- Go to Annexure 1.
Step 4- On the main page, Click on "Apply online"
Step 5- If you are a registered user, You would have received your user ID and Password on your
registered E-mail and/or Mobile No. Use the credentials for logging in.
For 1st time User- You will have to complete your Registration process to receive your "User ID"
and "Password" credentials for logging in.
The Link will guide you to complete the registration process. Follow the instructions to complete
your registration.
Step 6- On the "Main page" Click on Apply online and use the "User Id" and "Password" received
by you on the mobile No. and email ID registered by you.
Step 7- For submitting your final application, fill your :
A) Personal details
B) Academic details and
C) Payment and declaration
For Online Payment :
You will be guided to the Payment Gateway for making payments with your Credit Card/ Debit
Card/ Net Banking. You will receive Transaction ID for the successful transaction, kindly preserve
the Transaction ID for future correspondence.
For Offline Payment :
For Payments through Bank challan in any of listed State Bank Branches, please download the
uniquely generated Challan. Note that Your Application number and Challan number is same, hence
use the correct challan to make the payment incase of multiple registration KVPY will not be
responsible for any refunds in this regard.
Please Note:- (a) Name of the candidate, (b) Application No, (c) Stream code, (d) Email id, (e)
Mobile No and (f) Nationality are non-editable and cannot be changed. Incase you have the need to
change any of the above personal details you will have to fill a fresh registration form.
Step 8 : For Challan Payments Only :
On the main page click on apply online and use the credentials to log in to your saved application,
click on the edit button (On the right hand top corner) go to the Payment & Declaration tab and
update the Bank, Branch, Journal details and upload the scanned copy of Paid Challan.
Step 9 : Print the Application form.

You can submit a hard copy of the KVPY application by completing the following steps :

There is an Application Fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) :

Request a hard copy of the application form by writing to us at the following address :

Note: Make sure that you send the original copy of the Bank challan/pay-in-slip that reflects the
payment of the Application Fee along with the request letter.
Please note that the Application Fee is waived for the following students:
Students belonging to SC/ST category
Persons with disabilities physically & visually challenged students.
You must enclose the relevant certificates (Caste/PWD) along with your request letter in case you
belong to SC/ST or PWD category.
3. On receipt of your request letter with supporting enclosures (original Bank challan/Pay-in-slip &
Caste/PWD certificate (as the case may be)), KVPY will send a hard copy of the application form to
you by speed post.
4. The completed application form along with all other supporting documents should be received by
the KVPY office no later than 8th September 2014.
KVPY will not be responsible for postal delays.
