The Passion and Vision
None of our achievements in the industry would have been without the passion and vision of our
able Chairman/Managing Director; Engr. Akin Odumakinde A seasoned engineer with many
years of experience both home and abroad. Below is an extract of one of his many speeches as
proof of our capabilities.

We are one of the front liners in the hydrocarbon business, in fact, for all that
pertains to field development, international companies contact companies like ours to undertake
the facility concept development. Once the client is impressed with our job coupled with the
cost, we then proceed into full development. This first intellectual stage of the business is
critical; we utilize the best brains in developing the concept and the front-end engineering
design. We avail ourselves of the specialized skill and expertise from overseas, which align with
our engineers to develop the project. We also ensure that the contractors align themselves with
the design specifications during construction. This explains our business focus in the
hydrocarbon, Power, infrastructures and other sector of industry.
The company from inception of its operation in Nigeria has demonstrated very high reputation
on Health, Safety and Environment, to ensure safety of the people, asset and environment
protection as well as maintain industry safety ethics and continually encourage staff to maintain
its zero harm objectives.
We operate under our own HSE Management System that is compatible with statutory HSE
management system and applicable to OSHA, OHSAS and ISO 14001 standards. The dividends
of implementing a sound HSE management system have earned DeltaAfrik recognition and
several awards from our clients and from our foreign partners. We have Over 8 Million
Cumulative man-hour to date.

JOB DESCRIPTION
To ensure Health, Safety and Environment has the highest priority in all activities undertaken by
Engineering and Design personnel.
To allocate resources in order to complete all deliverable for the discipline within the allocated
project hour budget and schedule
To provide all necessary input to the project control and reporting system, including attending
review meetings, maintaining the progress report for the discipline, liaising with the project
planning engineer for discipline progress planning , and preparing the discipline section of the
monthly report
To prepare the discipline project design criteria prior to the commencement of any activities
To design the discipline design group by close liaison with the discipline lead coordinator in order
to develop practical and economic designs to achieve the project objectives
To arrange for the preparation of all discipline design deliverables including layout drawings,
detail drawings, schedules, specifications, datasheets, calculations requisitions and technical
tender evaluations in accordance with the project requirements and the company procedures and
standards
To specify and select appropriate equipment to allow the project to develop a practical and
economic design
To ensure technical integrity of design deliverable for the discipline
To ensure that all document checking and design verification tasks have been completed in
accordance with the company and project procedures before formal document issue
To review and approve the design documentation prepared by the discipline
To ensure conformance with customer requirement
To liaise with other groups, and to coordinate the discipline activities with other groups to
achieve the overall project design objectives in the most efficient manner
To provide discipline input to the project key documentation during squad checking, or by the
issue key documentation change requests immediately the discipline activities create or identify
the need for a change to those documents
