The following chart lists the support features of Regulatory Advantage Plus, provided under NetApps
Support Services Terms.*
Regulatory Advantage Plus is available on the following:
NetApp hardware (including related firmware and the Data ONTAP operating system)
During the applicable hardware warranty period
Prerequisites and conditions
The system unit is located in a covered country: the United States of America (additional
countries will be added to this list of covered countries when approved by NetApp).
Coverage may be extended to a country not yet on the list of covered countries on a caseby-case basis by prior written approval from the NetApp Global Support Services & Solutions
Support Sales Desk.

NetApp provides data privacy training and


education to individuals who are in the NetApp
Technical Support Center who may be exposed
to data protected by privacy regulations.

Included for NetApp hardware


and software.

Non-Returnable Disk
and SSD

Feature eliminates the need for a customer to


return defective disk drives and solid-state drive
(SSD) components to NetApp when a replacement
disk drive or SSD component has been sent under
a valid parts exchange request and subsequent
Return Materials Authorization. Customers will
keep failed disk drives and SSD components, and
provide for their destruction without support from
NetApp. Customers are released of responsibility
to return defective disk drives or SSD components
to NetApp. Fee is independent of the number of
replacement disk drives or SSD components that
are requested.

Included for NetApp hardware.

Note: This Regulatory Advantage Plus Service includes coverage of SSD-based technologies in addition
to disk drives, whereas the Regulatory Advantage Service only includes coverage of disk drives.
