From God’s Matchless Word…

Good News for a New Year
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a
lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works
and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 5: 14-16

MINISTRY PLAN
As you look through the ministry plan (next page) being proposed by the Lay Leadership
Council, here are a couple things to be aware of:
First – The various ministries and projects mentioned here are based in large part on a
combination of both urgency and cost. Some are pretty exciting. Others are rather ho-
hum. But they all need to be done urgently.
Second – The ministries mentioned are in no particular order. They are all very important to the
overall health of the congregation and growth of the kingdom.
Third – These ministries will not be accomplished unless the congregation as a whole rolls up its
sleeves and joins together in doing them.
Finally – If we all contribute to making these ministry goals a reality, the results (with the Lord’s
blessing) will be well worth the effort. (Continued on page H)
