The first half of the year was marked by drought, with temperatures that were mostly higher than usual. The Normal highs

trend was capped by a brutal late-June/early-July heat wave that produced record-breaking high temperatures for Normal lows
nearly two weeks. A strong El Niño in the Pacific helped to end the pattern, and also put a damper on hurricane Daily lows
season. By December, we had nearly wiped out a yearlong rainfall deficit and even saw some snow. Record lows
