Two Chosen Articles
Based on the credibility of the authors, usefulness, currency/timeliness and relevancy of
the information in the articles regarding my research proposal, I chose Web 2.0 by Sharon Hyder
from the Ask" Internet search engine and Meaningful Use of Web 2.0 Tools For Teaching and
Learning by Diane Billings from the Ashford University Library. via the literature review matrix
above.
I chose Web 2.0 by Sharon Hyder because it provides am expert, in-depth study of the
prospect of employing Web 2.0 as an Instructional tool. The article discusses the challenges,
benefits and risks of using online collaboration which will be useful in assessing the feasibility of
employing the online tool for our business ventures from practical, ethical and sociological
perspectives. The article also provides tips for using Web 2.0 and a Q&A forum in which the
author, Sharon Hyder provide expertise which may be useful in the formation of a technological
integration design for training/instruction. The article also gives advice on trends and
fundamentals of Web 2.0 integration which gives guidance for the action research proposal in
order to stay focused on relevant subject matter that may fit my particular research problem.
I chose the article Meaningful Use of Web 2.0 Tools for Teaching and Learning by
Billings because it professionally discusses the use of various types of Web 2,0 technology
including social networks and offer tips for integrating technology tools into instructions. The
article provides a table listing various types of web 2.0 technology and corresponding web sites.
The article can be viewed as a secondary source of information. The article does mention the
safety issues concerned in using Web 2,0 technology in classrooms at any significant length but
in combination with the Web 2.0 article the areas of benefits, challenges, risks and various types
of Web 2.0 tools are discussed/explained. The table provided in the article contains various types
