Ground floor consist of entrance lobby, reception area, common areas, high
computing areas, Auditorium (450 persons), and service areas
Lift machine room, overhead tank, solar water heaters, solar photo voltaic
cells, etc. are at Terrace level.
Brief scope of work (but not limited to) included in this package are:

Cabling work for elevators (lifts) & Escalators from metering panel to
the SFU in lift machine room, control cabling, earthing, lift shaft
lighting switch boards all as approved by lift inspector.
Storm water down takes, rain water inlets all made of CI and buried
pipes in cement concrete NP2 class with necessary catch basins
complete.

Acoustic insulation for ducting, plant rooms and air handling unit

Plant room ventilation systems with exhaust fans, ducts, inlet air
grilles, outlet with cowl and bird screen etc.
Toilet exhaust system with exhaust fans, ducts, inlet air grilles, outlet
with cowl and bird screen etc.
Electricals for HVAC including all main panels, sub panels, AHU and
fan panels, inter connecting power cabling, control cabling and
earthing.

1.2.1
Lump sum work as detailed in drawings and listed in items are described briefly
hereinafter giving possible descriptive and particular specifications and are detailed in
this Volume giving details in general for various materials, Standards to be followed,
workmanship expected and for guidance of the Bidder to qualify to the Scope of
Work. Anything specified in the drawings, in descriptive and particular specifications
and in technical specifications shall be read together and shall form a composite item
to be executed.
1.3.0
DRAWINGS
1.3.1
Drawings, catalogues, photographs as appended with the Bid Document for the
purpose of tendering shall form part of the contract. These drawings are intended to
give a fair and clear idea of the scope of work involved. Further working drawings
may be issued by the EIC to the contractor from time to time during the currency of
the contract to clarify details and various Architectural and Constructional features
and this will not vitiate the contract. Also the bidder may be required to prepare shop
drawings before execution of that particular work, for approval of the EIC.
1.4.1
All drawings are for basic guideline explaining the scheme. These should be studied
in conjunction with structural detail, services drawings, specifications (Volume-II),
Item Descriptions as given here after in this Volume-III, etc. Any discrepancies should
be brought to the notice of the EIC and clarified before the tender is submitted or
work is awarded. All clarifications and details explained by the EIC shall be final.
These shall be followed and work executed without any additional cost to the
contract. (EIC means Engineer-in-Charge)
1.4.2
The tender drawings given are quite extensively detailed, however there may be
certain detail which may require further more detailing while actual execution or there
may be certain detail which could have been in advertently overlooked, such details
shall not constitute extra items. The drawings read in conjunction with Item
Description and Technical Specification of Volume-II shall define total scope of work,
are basis for the contractor, when he works out his quotation. Any item of works, not
indicated on the drawing but in line with the design parameter and standard
specifications, shall be deemed to be a part of the contractual obligation and nothing
extra shall be paid to the contractor for the same.
1.4.3
Item descriptions in Bills of Quantities are exhaustive but may not cover all items,
trades, materials, labour, specifications, conditions etc. However, contractor shall be
responsible to read item description in conjunction with Technical Specifications,
drawings and trade practices and is required to follow all requirements. Further
description of item in Bills of Quantities, unless otherwise stated, includes wherever
necessary, conveyance and delivery, handling, unloading, storing, fabrication,
hoisting, scaffolding, all labour for finishing to required shape and size, setting, fitting
and fixing in position, straight cutting and waste, return of packings, disposal,
cleaning and other incidental charges and/all applicable taxes and duties. Tenderers
to quote the rates considering BOQ item description read in conjunctions with
drawings / specifications and should follow the MAXIMUM shown / written out of both.
No extra / additional claim to this account shall be considered.
1.4.4
All materials used shall be of only ISI mark and from the approved list of manufacturers
and suppliers. In the event that the same are not available, then the contractor must take
prior approval of the EIC for each of such materials to be used in works.

The EIC may call representative of approved manufacturer to visit the site, inspect
the application methodology, material and give his approval towards the same. All
arrangements for such visits shall be arranged by the Bidder.
1.4.7

The Bidder shall inspect and examine the conditions, surroundings, including subsurface conditions, the hydrological and climatic conditions, the extent and nature of
work and materials necessary for the completion of the work, access to the site,
accommodation he may require, risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which
may influence or affect his tender, etc. and satisfy himself before submitting his
tender.
1.4.9
Setting Out
The Bidder shall be responsible for

The accurate setting-out of the works in relation to original points, lines and
levels of reference given by the MMRDA.

If, at any time during the progress of the Works, any error shall appear or arise in the
position, levels, dimensions or alignment of any part of the Works, the Contractor, on
being required so to do by the EIC, shall, at his own cost, rectify such error to the
satisfaction of the EIC, unless such error is based on incorrect data supplied in writing
by the EIC, in which case the expense of rectifying the same shall be borne by the
Company. The checking of any setting-out or of any line or level by the EIC shall not
in any way relieve the Contractor of his responsibility for the correctness thereof and
the Contractor shall carefully protect and preserve all bench-marks, sight-rails, pegs
and other things used in setting-out the works.
1.4.10
Progress Photographs
Every month the Contractor shall take 15 coloured photographs showing the progress
of various stages of the Work, such as concreting, etc. Size of photographs will be
125 mm X 250mm. Photographs shall be supplied with negatives to the EIC. Each
photograph shall be attached with date of photograph and location of Work. These
photographs shall be from location as fixed by the EIC at start of Work.
