Concerns before create a commercial advertisement

Understand who will buy or use your product .Search for as much information about them
as possible. If your product is already in the market you can obtain this information by
conducting consumer surveys, talking to the sales people, or observing consumer behavior at
various stores.

Begin the ad creation by analyzing your product and consumer. Each ad has to be made
specifically for those who are interested in buying the product namely the "Consumer".

Find out what is so special about your product, the unique selling proposition. Make
sure you find only one compelling reason otherwise you will confuse your customer. This is
also sometimes referred to as the brand positioning. Look for something that current
competitors do not offer or do not openly claim to offer. Identify such a new offer and
highlight that unique product offering. By relevant it should be something that the consumer
needs or likes, and not that's unique for the sake of it

Try to understand why will they buy or how will they use your product. Why consumers
buy this product category, your brand or the competitor's brand.

Decide how to effectively convey the Product message. Use the information that you have
collected to form a "Creative Brief" for your creative team.

Admire your advertisement. It might be a great ad, but you are not sure that it will sell what
you wanting it to sell, until you have tested it amongst your target audience. Put the ad out
and have a questionnaire ready to find out if you have reached the audience you set out to.

Think of when will they buy, how will they shop for it. This will help you decide how,
when and where to advertise, what media is best for you; choices may be local Newspaper,
web, pamphlets and many others.

How to plan Media Planning

Planning your media advertising well is an essential part of giving your campaign the very
best chance of success. Without good media planning, you are risking a lot of wasted time,
effort and money and this is such a vital part of the eventual media buying process.

However, when it comes to Radio Station Advertising and TV advertising, the whole media
planning stage can take on a whole new level of commitment. In fact, most companies that
have the budget for these types of media will leave the Media Buying Services and media
placement to an advertising agency or other professional company.
One thing that advertising agencies can do is use their experience to not only get you the best
deals on advertising costs, but they'll also bring someone in to help on the creative design and
production requirements too.

Whichever route you choose, your scheduled media planning activities must include:

Which media will reach your target market in the best way

What will it cost to run campaigns for each

What do I want to achieve as a result of using this media

Choosing which media or type of advertising to use is sometimes tricky for small firms with
limited budgets and know-how. Large-market television and newspapers are often too expensive
for a company that services only a small area. Magazines, unless local, usually cover too much
territory to be cost-efficient for a small firm, although some national publications offer regional
or city editions. Metropolitan radio stations present the same problems as TV and metro
newspapers; however, in smaller markets, the local radio station and newspaper may sufficiently
cover a small firm's audience.

4.3 Advertisement Development report

Today it is nearly impossible to efficiently sell a product or service without having conducted
market research. The importance of market research is that a business company gains a suite of
solutions for developing business processes, increasing profits, improving company
performance, investigating competitors and getting more satisfied customers.
Mainly, I considered on following areas on the research I carried out

Tools which can be use to create a commercial advertisement.

User feedbacks/testimonials of the tools can be use to create advertisements

Analyze the existing competitors and their methods of advertizing.

Analyze innovative, creative advertizing methods followed by the competitors

Questioners for media selection & identifying target consumers

Information is gathered through contacts truly helped identify the selection of media,
identify the target audience and strengths that need to be made on the ad.
The analysis of the overall data collected, we decided the media for advertisement as
"television" ad.

Targeting

Youths, kids, Teenagers, Old.

Different products for different age group

Based on the feedbacks of the friends & colleges, we amended the storyboard several
times, to deliver the message to the target group more simply & clearly.

Drawing the storyboard

Storyboard for advertising, feature film, commercial and music video production,
conceptual work and set design. A multimedia story is some combination of video, text,
still photos, audio, graphics and interactivity presented in a nonlinear format in which the
information in each medium is complementary, not redundant. So your storyboard should
be put together with all those elements in mind.

Studying the scenario

Analyzing the sample story boards available in the internet
Grouping the items need to be included in the actual advertisement
Breaking those grouped items in to short time frames
Drawing those time frames by hand
Conversion of the story board in to commercial advertisement
This was the final task of the advertisement development process. All preliminary works are
done to give clear directions to the developer, such as customer researching, media planning &
story board creation.
According to the researches carried out and the informations gathered through the questioners
and analyzing those information with the special qualities of this chocolate product, we identified
the target group of the product as kids and teens of 5 20 age range.
As per the analyzed records, kids and teens pay more attention on visuals than voice
messages in advertisements. Their parents pay attention contents on entire advertisements. So,
we decided to deliver above criterias through text, instead voice clips, to make an influence on
parents to purchase the product for their children, while making an attraction on kids on this
product. Decision of the text frame applying, reduced the developing cost as well as it helped to
deliver the project on time, within budget.
Since the target group was kids of 5-20 age range, we decided to develop the advertisement
using cartoon characters, who loved kids very much. They are the heroes of their world.

For the process of converting story board in to the real world advertisement, I used several tools,
such as Adobe premier CS 5.5 pro, smart FLV converter & Youtube downloader.
