Activity 1 Warm-up

Aim: to create a pleasant atmosphere and to relax the Ss
to get Ss involved in the topic
Procedure:
1. Informal conversation, greetings

Aim: to see if the Ss solved homework correctly


Procedure:
T checks homework and Ss read it and correct themselves if
they were wrong.
Activity 3: Checking the previous knowledge
Aim: to check previous knowledge
Procedure:
The T presents in front of the classroom a board with pictures.
The Ss are asked to identify the buildings from the pictures.
Then the Ss are asked to come to the board and write the
name of buildings in the bubbles corresponding to each
image.
Activity 2 Lead in
Aim: to introduce the theme of the lesson: Jobs
Procedure:
T asks if the Ss know any poem about jobs.
The T asks the Ss if they know who works in these buidings
they were talking about and then the T makes the connection
with the new lesson .
The Ss are said to pay attention to flashcards presentation
because they are going to learn the jobs. The T presents the
jobs orally and then write them on the blackboard .Ss do the
same in their notebooks.
After writing the new words T reads them one by one and Ss
are asked to do the same.
After reading, Ss are encouraged to make oral sentences of
their own with the new words. The Ss make sentences and if
they need help, T helps them.

Activity 3 Practice
Aim: to make connections between images and words
Procedure:
The Ss have to listen a tape and after that they have to make
connections between images and words that are on the
flipchart. After that Ss are working on exercise 5 from page
28. The Ss read the sentences and say what picture are proper
from the flipchart. The T asks the Ss to change the sentences
into the singular third person.

Activity 4 Speaking
Aim: Consolidation
Procedure:
The T divides the Ss into 4 groups of 4 children each. The Ss
are announced that they will have to choose from an envelope
a handout with a given task. Each team asks a leader to extract
a handout and they present it to the team they represent. Each
team receives a different task. They start working together.
They have job riddles, role play, crosswords and sentences
based on images. (See you worksheets).
After solving their tasks the Ss are asked to read or to practice
or to mime in front of the classroom their activity from the
worksheet using the flipchart.

Activity 5:Homework assignment


Aim: to let Ss know what they have to do
Procedure:
T tells the Ss have to do exercise 9, page 30. Read and circle
the correct word
T praises all students for their participation during the entire
lesson
