Minutes of the meeting of the General Meeting of the Senior Citizen Association,

Filinvest Chapter held last 0ctober 7, 2014 at the Multi Purpose Hall, Filinvest.
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by the President 0felia Yazon. 68 senior citizen
attended, list of attendance attached. She informed the attendees the purpose of the
meeting, to organize a Senior Citizen Association, Filinvest Chapter because Filinvest is
the only subdivision now in the municipality of Cainta that has no SCA. It was initiated
by Dr. Ethelyn Nieto. SCA, Filinvest Chapter will be the most famous and greatest SCA
in Cainta.
MATTERS DISCUSSED:
1. The president introduced herself and the interim officers and members of different
committees of the Senior Citizen, Filinvest Chapter. The requirement is 15
mandated officers per chapter. Technical working group should come from all the
phases of the subdivision including the satellite subdivision inside Filinvest.
There is still a need for 5 officers. The following members were selected for the
vacant slots.

2. There were 8 among the attendees who were 80 years and above, list attached.
Dr. Nieto will ask the 0ffice of the Mayor for them to receive P500.00 monthly
allowance from the municipality of Cainta.
3. Induction of the interim officers and members of different committees will be
during the Christmas party on December 5, 2014. The 1st activity of the SCA.
The attire is retro.
4. Another suggestion was to have Bingo Social, Mr. & Mrs. Senior Citizen on
February 14, 2015, Valentines Day as fund raising. The Social Committee
will handle these activities.
5. Dr. Nieto announced that we will be constructing our SCA office in Filinvest.
Suggested locations are a vacant lot near AMA or the gazebo in Moses St. Put
up a cooperative store for SCA, 20% discount for members.
6. Dr. Nieto will coordinate with UNILAB to provide a diagnostic mobile for
100 members for free X-Ray, Ultrasound, ECG and others and free laboratory
examinations of FBS, uric acid and cholesterol for 200 members. It is

scheduled this coming November 2014.

7. Mayor Nieto will provide free medicines for diabetic and hypertensive
members to be delivered at their doorstep.
8. Members who were present during the general meeting will be the first to
receive free flu shots scheduled on 0ctober 14, 2014.
9. There was a proposal to open a facebook account for SCA and it was approved.
10. Senior citizen who cannot attend meetings because of illness or old age can
avail of the medical and other benefits as long as their senior citizen card
registered in Cainta.
11. Members who were present were requested to contact 10 senior citizen to
attend and register in the next meeting to increase the number of membership.
12. Medical committee was created to be headed by Lagrimas Sombillo, BSN-RN.
There being no more matter to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:16 P.M.
followed by a snack voluntarily served by the officers.
