Development Toolset is a comprehensive suite of tools supporting all phases of wireless
terminal development, from pre-silicon protocol module development, through to systems
integration and verification. It provides easy access to parameters at lower layers, which
enables the re-creation of tests in the very early stages of chipset and device development.
This significantly eliminates risk in development programmes, as device features are verified
to work correctly at the very start of the development cycle.
Unique LTE Multi-RAT Host Solution
Development Toolset is the only solution on the market today that enables chipset vendors
to comprehensively test early stage implementation prior to hardware integration. Testing is
performed in Anites unique Host environment, which significantly speeds up the verification
of protocol implementation and considerably improves the quality of the software. The
ability to detect serious issues across multiple technologies at an early stage leads to fewer
iterations, thereby significantly reducing overall development and testing times.

As a continuously evolving product, Development Toolset has the capability to test a wide
range of radio technologies. Anite has maintained its technological leadership by focusing on
cutting-edge technologies such as LTE (both FDD and TDD) and LTE-Advanced. Development
Toolset supports an extensive LTE/LTE-Advanced technology roadmap and offers a high level
of flexibility and control in terms of test creation. It provides access to Layer 1 and Layer 2
through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), allowing users to remain in control of
their test designs.
Development Toolset is highly appreciated for enabling Multi-RAT testing across legacy
technologies including GSM, WCDMA and HSPA. Additionally, Development Toolset allows
the user to perform Inter-RAT testing between technologies such as LTE and CDMA2000.
Simple graphical interface speeds up testing
Development Toolset features an easy-to-use graphical interface Scenario Mode which
allows users to visually create test scenarios by linking building blocks together in a graphical
mode. The graphical interface uses integrated test tools at each stage of the development
cycle, reducing test time and thereby accelerating development timescales. Tests can be
developed in accordance with the skillset of the team as the tool offers the ability to switch
between Scenario Mode and Advanced Mode where tests are written in C++.
Test Bundles offer a state-of-art device test ecosystem
A library of test cases for current and future technologies including VoLTE, LTE Multi-RAT
and LTE-Advanced are available in Scenario Mode as well as Advanced Mode. By providing
an ideal ecosystem for test developers, test bundles help to accelerate test programmes
involving leading features. Test bundles contribute to enhanced efficiency and productivity
as users have a comprehensive foundation of verified tests from the very start.
Flexible feature roadmap follows customers requirements
Development Toolset is used by developers to test their implementations in complex and
simulated real network scenarios with features such as Carrier Aggregation and eICIC
(enhanced Inter-cell Interference Coordination). Tests include:
