DPL Submission Guidelines

Download the two zip folders Cricket_Craze_Problem and ALS_Problem

Each folder includes datasets (in the form of excel spreadsheet) and a PDF with the
problem statement

Go through the problem statements to understand what is required to be done and

choose one problem out of the two

Using the provided dataset (i.e. no external data), do the required data analysis to
answer the question/s asked and generate other insights

Include the answer in an infographic document (use Tabloid 11 x 17 size of page)

Prepare a methodology document (A4 size pdf) of not more than 2 pages describing
your approach. Include both team members names in this document

Put these two files in a zip folder with the naming convention as
<teamname>_<collegename>_submission. For example, if the team name is DataDons
and the College name is XYZ then the folder should be named as
DataDons_XYZ_submission.zip

Email the zip file to dpl@latentview.com on or before 5th December, 2014 with the
subject as <teamname>_<collegename>_submission. For example, if the team name is
DataDons and the College name is XYZ then the email subject should be
DPL_DataDons_XYZ_submission

Infographic document
An infographic is a graphic visual representation of information, data or knowledge intended
to present complex information quickly and clearly. The final entry submitted should include
a one-pager infographic in .jpeg or .pdf format not exceeding Tabloid size 11 x 17 page.

Methodology document
Apart from the visualisation we are also interested to know how you arrived at your results.
A methodology document of not more than 2 pages (A4 size) in pdf format should also be
included as part of final submission.
