ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Like in my earlier book, Spiritual Universe : A journey from black hole to Time Machine
, I would like to reiterate that I am a firm believer in words T.S. Eliot once said, "Bad
poets borrow", however, "good poets steal". The famous CEO of GE Jack Welch coined
another slogan "Steal shamelessly". The key message from both these geniuses remains
the same; there is no harm in taking a clue from anywhere in the would, as long as one
can further elaborate on the same idea. In fact, it helps everyone, as many others who
might not have read the original idea get to know about it while reading its appreciation
by someone else.
I am not Abhimanyu, who knew the art of breaking the chakravyuh even before he was
born. While writing this book, it has been my earnest endeavour to adopt (steal) ideas and
concepts related to Gita from all possible sources. What I did was to first absorb the idea,
understand its importance and relationship to the relevant chapter, and then rework it to
suit the topic. For example, there are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of articles available
on topic such as Krishna and Arjuna conversation or the psychological aspect of Gita.
While attending workshops or seminars, conducted by great orators and management
consultants, I made notes of the points which in turn helped me to relate real-life
situations to the above-mentioned concepts. Unfortunately, the sources of information
were not always noted or available; hence, it is not possible for me to mention the name
of everyone whose ideas I have used in my book. Here is my bearfelt attempt to
acknowledge their unseen contribution to the book.
I will always remain indebted to my mentor, my mother, who instigated my thought
process to pen down my ideas. I thank my friends, colleagues and seniors for patiently
listening to my ideas, reading the drafts and helping me to revise, modify, or change them
through their candid feedback. Special thanks to My Ma-See-Ma (Dr. Vadaihi Sharma)
for drawing the excellent illustrations, Shaunak for helping me edit the book and Golu for
helping me to refine and improve various instruments and thoughts given in the book.
At the end, I wish to express gratitude to my parents and family members for my
upbringing. Last but not the least; I want to acknowledge my, so called relatives and
friends, who never give me there helping hand when I needed there support at most, but
ultimately this encourage me and was a big factor of motivation for me to complete this
book.
