This document set out the terms and conditions applicable for purchase of tickets through KTM BERHAD website
and you are governed by Malaysian Law.
You will be deemed to have accepted all terms and conditions if you make reservation through our website.
If you do not agree to these term and conditions, you may discontinue transaction and log out from this website.

Warranty
1.1
No warranty of any kind is given as to the operation of the site, the accuracy of the information
or services referred to on the KTM BERHAD website.
1.2
All warranties are excluded as far as permitted by the law.
1.3
Neither KTM BERHAD nor any third party will be liable for any inaccuracies in or omissions
from the information which it contains.

Responsibility

KTM BERHAD are not responsible for the content of any other website from which you have
accessed this website or which you may hyperlink from our website.
2.2
KTM BERHAD accept no liability for any loss or damage you incur as a result of your use of
any other site from which you hyperlink to or from KTM BERHAD website.

Availability of tickets

Tickets are subject to availability and general terms and conditions, and to particular terms and
conditions that apply to each train service.

Accuracy of information
4.1
We do our best ensure that the information and fares display in our website are correct.
4.2
Should there be any errors or inaccurate information, we apologise but cannot hold
responsible.

Internet email
6.1
Messages or emails sent over the internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure as
they are subject to possible interception or loss or possible alteration.

KTM BERHAD are not responsible for them and will not be liable to you or anyone else for any
damages or otherwise in connection with any message sent by you to KTM BERHAD or any
message sent by KTM BERHAD to you over the internet.

Conditions of carriage contain limitations of liability and passengers are recommended to read
them prior travelling.

For journey involving carrier belonging to the State Railway of Thailand, the following will apply
i.
International Convention for Carriage of Passenger and Their Luggage by Rail.
ii.
The conditions of the Standard International Tariffs.
iii.
The Carriers conditions of carriage and relevant by laws.

10.
E-Ticket
10.1
All fares quoted are subject to availability of seat/berth.
10.2
Purchase of e-ticket can be done up to 60 days and not less than 4 hours prior departure time.
10.3
Ticket(s) for travel from any stations within Malaysia to Singapore and return journey will be
charge in Malaysia Ringgit (MYR).
10.4
Ticket(s) for travel from Singapore to any stations in Malaysia and return journey will be charge
and payable in Singapore Dollar (SGD) denomination.
10.5
Maximum 6 tickets can be purchase for each transaction.
10.6
Customer may select seat(s) (window/aisle) or berth(s) (lower/upper), but subject to availability
at time of purchase.
10.7
Name and identity card/passport number of passenger(s) must be keyed in (not buyers name
or credit card holders).
10.8
Minimum fare for each transaction is MYR/SGD20.00.
10.9
Payment of ticket(s) by credit card (Visa/Master) or debit card (Maybank2u).
10.10 Non-refundable Internet banking fee will be charged for each ticket.
10.11 Advance purchase for express train ticket(s) is subject to Terms and Conditions of Minimum
Distance. Minimum distance is;
i.
Station Woodlands - Station Segamat or via versa.
ii.
Station Hat Yai/Padang Besar station Parit Buntar or via versa.
iii.
Station Jerantut - Station Tumpat or via versa.
10.12 Successful notification email will be sent to customer within 30 minutes after transaction
together with reservation details.
10.13 If ticket(s) reservation was unsuccessful but customer has been charge for the fares, KTMB will
submit the application to the bank and refund the fare via customers account within 10 working
days.

11.
Ticket Inspection
11.1
Ticket is valid for the passenger(s) name, train and departure time stated on ticket.
11.2
Passenger(s) must produce a valid ticket(s) during inspection at KTM BERHAD premises
and/or on board the train.
i.
Printed ticket or
ii.
Virtual ticket.
11.3
Passenger Refer 11.2, passenger(s) who fails to produce valid ticket(s) during inspection on
board the train must pay full fare and surcharge and original ticket(s) is not refundable.
11.4
Refer 11.2(i), passenger(s) may print their ticket from their PC printer or present their ticket Id
or reference number at any KTM BERHAD Intercity ticket counter at least 1 hour prior
departure in exchange for valid printed ticket(s).
11.5
Refer 11.3, surcharge;
i.
MYR/SGD30 for Premier Class Ticket.
ii.
MYR/SGD20 for Superior Class Ticket.
iii.
MYR/SGD10 for Economy Class Ticket
iv.
MYR/SGD20 for ETS Ticket
11.6
Ticket(s) are not transferable.
12.
Amendment of e-ticket
12.1
Amendment of ticket(s) is not allowed via this website.
12.2
Amendment can be done at KTM BERHAD Intercity ticket counter only and subject to term and
conditions.
i.
Amendment of ticket(s) is allowed once only.
ii.
Application must be made at least 24 hours prior the reserve ticket(s) departure time.
iii.
Only amendment of travelling date and/or time of departure and/or coach type are
allowed.
iv.
Subject to availability of seat/berth at the time of application.
v.
Non-refundable administration fee will be charged for each ticket.
12.3
No refund for the difference in ticket price if passenger downgrades ticket to lower ticket price.
13.
Refund of e-ticket
13.1
Application for refund must be submitted to any KTM BERHAD Intercity ticket counter at least 4
hours prior departure time and subject to Terms and Conditions of Ticket Cancellation;
i.
Application for refund submitted less than 72 hours prior train departure; amount of
refund is 50%.
ii.
Application for refund submitted more than 72 hours prior train departure; amount of
refund is 75%.
13.2
Any application for refund via email to callcenter@ktmb.com.my (foreigners only) must be
made at least 72 hours prior departure time and subject to item 13.1(i) and (ii) .

Amount of refund will be credited into account of credit card or debit card holder within 6
months from the ticket(s) application refund date.
No refund for administration fee and/or internet banking fee.

16.
Loss of etickets
16.1 Customers are responsible for the safekeeping of their etickets.
16.2 KTM BERHADs shall replace lost or stolen eticket subject to term and conditions.
i. Application must be made not less than 2 hours prior departure time at any KTM
BERHAD Intercity ticket counter, and
ii. Passenger must produce a copy of police report for the lost or stolen ticket, and
iii. Non-refundable administration fee will be charged for each eticket.

Force Majeure
18.1 KTM BERHAD accepts no liability for any delay, poor performance or failure in performance
caused by force majeure and/or any other matters beyond KTM BERHAD reasonable control.
