Class
construction

Front (Front touch buttons are lockable to prevent unintentional operation.)

Press MENU and UP() button at the same


time to lock all front buttons.
Beep sound indicates front buttons are locked. Repeating same
sequence will unlock all front buttons with beep sound

Front (Operation: Remote control only)

To operate of HVP-4004 and HVP-4008, please turn on the power


which is located in the back side and use the remote control.
- Please be careful for lost of remote control unit.
To operate of HVP-4012R/N and HVP-4015R/N and HVP-4005R,
you can use both menu buttons in the front and remote control unit.

behind an obstacle. When IR extension
receiver is connected front IR of HD
Stream Generator will not work.

Cautions

If the device is turned on, DO NOT pull plug out of outlet. It can be cause of
defection on hard disk drive or system.
In case of system error, turn the power off and on. Thus, system will be
automatically recovering the error.
(The booting time could take longer than usual)

Before connecting

1. Check each name of the port(s).


2. Check output of HD Stream Generator and input of TV is
respectively connected with same cable.
3. Check output setting of HD Stream Generator and input selection of
TV is respectively matched.
4. Check whether cable(s) is connected tightly without loose.
5. When theres no picture in TV check whether TVs input selection is
selected to correct port.

HD stream generator has 2 different ways of video output, Analog


and Digital

Digital output : HDMI


Analog output :S-Video(4012 model only), Composite(4012/4015 model
only),

Component(4012/4015 model only)


- Composite, S-Video recommended for the testing purpose only.

1. Connect HD Stream Generator to TV with component cable.
Please make sure component cable is connected to each right output and
input port of HD Stream Generator and TV.

2. When audio is needed please connect HD Stream Generator to TV


with audio cable.

00Connecting with HDMI00


1. Connect HD Stream Generator to TV with HDMI cable.

2. HDMI supports both audio and video signal together, theres no additional
audio cable needed.

- When HD Stream Generator is connected with more than one TV by HDMI


cable and EDID is set on in SETUP menu, intersection of all connected TVs
receivable resolution(s) will be selectable with HD Stream Generator.
- When connecting HDMI cables for HVP-4015 model, it is highly
recommended to connect longer one first. (Support up to **10M.)
What is EDID? (Extended Display Identification Data)
Extended Display Identification Data is VESA standard data format that contains
information about a monitor and its capabilities, including vendor information, maximum
image size, color characteristics, factory pre-set timings, frequency range limits and
character strings for the monitor name and serial number. The information is stored in the
display and is used to communicate with the system through a Display Data
Channel(DDC), which sites between the monitor and the PC graphics adapter. The system
uses this information for configuration purposes, so the monitor and system can work
together.

00Connecting with Composite and S-Video(4012 model only) cable00


1. Connect HD Stream Generator to TV with Composite or S-Video(4012 model only)
cable.
Please make sure Composite or S-Video cable is connected to each right output and
input of HD Stream Generator and TV.

2. Check your TVs Video input setting if its correctly selected for analog
video input.
(ex. Video 1, Video 2 ) the title of video input may be different from each
TV and manufacturer)
3. When audio is needed please connect HD Stream Generator to TV with
audio cable.

In order to check video from S-Video/Composite, stop playing
video & press the key Composite/S-video on remote control.

Connecting audio cable


Audio signal is connectable between HD Stream Generator with TV directly.
For better audio quality, audio signal can be connected between HD Stream
Generator with other digital audio equipment/amplifier.

Provides enhanced sound if used with an amplifier connected to optical


terminals. The cables for digital audio should be purchased by option.
Please ask your local dealer or shop.

Changing PLAY LIST order


Order in the PLAY LIST can be changed by manually.

Move up
Selected file will move up.

Move down
Selected file will move down.

File play by number key


By entering number on the remote control relative
file number will be played during file playing.
File play by number key only operates
in Play/Pause/Trick mode status.

Set up a Multi-Play List


You can utilize multi Play List and order of each Play List

Advantage: 1. Possible to manage many stream files easily.


2. Easily checkup current Multi-Play List information.

Multi-Play List features given for the purpose of numerous stream files more
efficiently.
Users can set up and manage total 10 set of Multi-Play List.
It is possible to change & arrange the list ONLY in PLAY LIST menu.

CAUTION: File play should be stopped when you want to set above functions.
1. To use a PLAY LIST, please stop the play.
2. It is possible to move between PLAY LIST to use a direction key
(Left and Right) in a mode of STOP.

File(s) deleted from PLAY LIST will be moved to SYSTEM menu, submenu of UPDATE
for backup. Backup file(s) can be updated later if you want to.

Press DELETE button on remote or front touch.

Mark A and B section to loop play A-B.

A-B section will start loop play.

Checking information for the current playing file
Possible to check the current playing file Information.
(i.e. file name and output resolution and play time of current file)

To check current playing file information (i.e. file name and
output resolution), press ENTER on remote control or front
touch. Information pop up window will appear.

Select desired resolution.

EDID On: (Setting on Set up Menu)


TV supporting resolution will be activated.
EDID Off or not connected with HDMI:
All resolutions will be shown.

Press RESOLUTION button on remote control or VIDEO


on front touch to open RESOLUTION menu.

Select desired menu with LEFT/RIGHT


direction keys. Select desired sub-resolution
with UP/DOWN direction keys.
Press ENTER button to set the output resolution.

Confirmation window opened for resolution change.

Select YES or NO using left, right direction button.

Resolution change executed by pressing ENTER button.

- Press RESOLUTION button once again, if you want to


close RESOLUTION menu window.
- If no image is displayed when resolution is hanged,
press the 1080i button in the remote control.

Auto update with DVD-ROM or USB storage device.


The files can be updated automatically when you insert DVD-ROM or connect USB
device while playing.

available during playing status.

The files you want to update automatically should be restored on the root
folder of DVD-ROM or USB device.
When its on auto updating procedure, updated files will be listed to the
current selected Play List.

Do not turn off the power during the updating.

1. Automatic update: Total Estimation Time is the time for existing update, thus
no consideration is given for additional update. In addition, entire update time can
be increased depending on stream recycling time.
2. Manual update: To avoid using recycle function, update stream in an empty
Play List for update. (Total Estimation Time during update in an empty Play List is
the same as the time estimated in existing update time.)
3. Updating in a stream update screen: Pressing CANCEL button will update
the next stream, and pressing STOP while updating will cancel the whole
streaming.

File(s) can be updated with CD or DVD disk with DVD-ROM Drive (Only with 4012R,
4015R, 4005R model.)
It will be working after connect USB in stop status.

DVD-ROM Drive cant play ordinary CD or DVD titles.

Press LIST button then, it will be shown play list page.
After moving to play list no. by using direction keys, press
UPDATE button. Files update on the play list you selected.

2. Select Media to DVD-ROM


Using direction keys

In DVD-ROM update case, each file can be
updated individually.
3. Check designated file to update ( Available multi-selection)
Press CHECK button on designate file.

( Available All files will be updated if you press ENTER button without
file selection.)

4. Update
Press Enter button to activate update.

Please refer to the See update progress status page (front page) for more details.

Do not power off HD Stream Generator during update.

Updated file(s) is/are damaged when power is manually turned off during updating
stage. Delete all file(s) updated to PLAY LIST when manually turned off and repeat
update procedure once again. When all update is completed, DVD will be
automatically ejected.
5. Check Update
Press LIST button to open LIST menu to check update
process.

CANCEL
In order to cancel current updating file, press CANCEL button on
remote to stop selected files updating process.
Update Stop
Press STOP button on remote if you want to cancel whole files
updating procedure.

File(s) stored in USB Storage Device can be updated to HD Stream Generator.

It will be working after connect USB in stop status.

USB Media menu will appear when USB Storage Device is connected.
Select Multi-Play List
Press List button to check Play List information.
Move cursor, using direction button to designated Play List
number and press UPDATE button to update menu.

2. Select Media to USB

Preview
You can check stream file(s) stored in ODD/USB/Network prior to update into HD
stream generator.
1. Update Menu
Select media(ODD/USB/Network) which contains file(s)
to update, using direction button.

2. Select Play/Pause
It shows preview window if you press Play/Pause button.
(Selected file only.)

3. Preview stop
Press stop button or direction button to stop preview.

Preview function is not applied in system menu under update menu.


Some of higher resolution files are might not previewed properly.

You can update files from ODD/USB devices sub directory folder.

Move to Folder
Press ENTER button to move
designated folder.
You can easily update from designated folder, select file(s) using direction button.

Deleting file(s) from System


File(s) can be permanently removed from SYSTEM (HDD).

Select File from Play List


Press LIST button to open Play List menu.
Press Delete key after select file(s).
Removed file(s) will be moved to System in UPDATE
menu.

Open UPDATE menu and select SYSTEM media.
Move
Using direction keys move to the desired file to be deleted.
Delete
Press DELETE button.

Select
Select YES on Confirmation pop up menu.

activate delete.

- Delete is not possible if the file is listed on multi play list.


- In order to delete the file in the system, delete the file from the multi play list first.

In order to automatically convert 2D/3D mode, 3D format file must have filename format as below.

Generator recognizes output port in numbering order beggining from No.1 port and gives a
priority to a TV EDID connected to No.1 output port or other port most adjacent to it to play.
(applicable from firmware 1.50 ver.) Therefore, in case of displaying multiple TV Sets with
various model, you must connect relatively low-end model to No. 1 output port.

Possible to use shared folder with HD stream generator for updating files. In
order to use this function, select SAMBA of server connection part in Network
of Setup page.

Static IP input(DHCP OFF) is allowed to use when DHCP doesnt work
properly (Case of using HUB). Normally, input value will automatically set by

Set IP set up

To set up a static IP, input same value of your PCs network information as Subnet mask,
Gateway, DNS. For the lastly, input any different last 3 digit number of your PCs
current IP value to the Stream generators Set IP field

Precautions for the Installation of Generator


1. Use the enclosed adapter supplied by DIGITALZONE.
2. Check to see if the input/output HDMI cable is connected properly.
3. Reduce the resolution of the Generator when using it with a TV without Full HD support.
(Ex. 1080i)
4. If a part of the TV screen blinks or does not display, connect Port #5 of the Generator to
the HDMI splitter.
5. If it does not power on (stay red), deactivate Key Lock.
(Press

button while holding MENU button. -> Press Power

button. -> Make

sure it is powered on.)


6. If a DVD does not eject when the "EJECT" button on the remote controller is pressed,
press the button inside the hole on the front. (Use a pin or other sharp object.)
7. Do not disassemble or modify the product. The warranty is void if product is
disassembled or modified.
8. Turn the power off when not in use.

The screen does NOT display any picture.


1. Check that the HDMI input port on your TV matches the output port. (Use External Input
on your TV remote controller.)
2. Check the front LED lamp to make sure the Generator is running properly.
(During normal operation, the Power LED stays blue and the HDD LED blinks with only one
of 720p, 1080i and 1080p LED on.)

1. You may not be able to update video contents other than those included in the Generator
due to compatibility issues.
2. Make sure DVDs and USB run properly before update. (Check for any scratches on
