Preface

Designed Prototype

Solar PV and Biomass is now one of the major sources of

renewable energy in perspective of our country. Our thesis mainly
concerns, how to abate our present energy crisis. The designed
solar PV module is capable of delivering 10kwp energy to
residential buildings. More over it comes with a biomass
prototype that allows to withstand the present gas scarcity by
producing methane from municipal solid wastes. The transmission
of methane gas is automated by calculating the PSI of the gas
supplied from our local authority. While the Solar Module is self
capable of delivering its power during load shedding or overload
conditions and meets the minimum energy demand.

Hardware or Addressed model for simulation

Methodology for Achieving Goal

Total 10 piece of PV module was collaborated together to
convert solar energy into electrical energy.
Maximum Power Point Tracking was prescribed to get higher
efficiency during variable weather condition.
Battery charge controller was slotted to maintain battery
charging and draining stages to ensure the longevity of battery
life.
The gas pressure was calibrated through the gas regulator
branch to meet home user demand.
The whole system sequentially resulted in smart alternative
energy solution.

We can chose wind, tidal or water but we chose solar energy because in
Bangladesh, solar and biomass is best renewable energy we can use .If a country
like Bangladesh, which counts among the countries of third world is taking some
steps to save the environment, it would a great achievement. A small successful
green building can turn into a massive city infrastructure under the
entrepreneurship of government. These kind of buildings may not be beneficial in
terms of costing but it is a forward step for saving our country. In future we will
implement pressure gauze system which will automatically switch between our
biogas plan and main gas supply by determining the pressure of the inlet pipe
.Moreover we have been working more precisely how to minimize the loss of solar
panel to a greater extent depending on different geographical position and
weather condition. The solar and biogas plant has been designed for a residential
building but it can be utilized well for commercial units too. Having 25% of its own
energy for a commercial structure reduces the load of energy greatly. And that
amount of energy can successfully delivered to the rural people in our country.

We want to show our gratitude towards Almighty Allah for

giving us the opportunity, the time and knowledge to
complete this thesis. We are also very grateful to our
supervisor Mrs. Humaira Salmin and our external Mr.
Sakhawat Hossain for collaborating us by giving their
valuable feedbacks. Lastly we would like to thanks our
parents for their unconditional supports.
