Sir,
my wife Olga Hlavka-Schorel did receive the purported (SECONDARY) signature card and
activated the same. As I all along expected, it is a con-job, because when attending to a repairshop JIM WALTON AUTOMATIC the card was declined, and this as there was no pin number
with it and there is no allowance for any signature.
While Westpac had claimed that the card would automatically bypass any pin number to allow
for a signature the truth is that this didnt work.
Moreover, subsequently at Dimmeys at Warringal shopping centre at Heidelberg, I was given the
understanding that they have to refuse so called signature cards because it cannot be accepted
by their terminals. As such, numerous other persons issued with a purported signature card all
find it to be declined.
As I refused all along to sign that the dispute before the FSO was settled, as Westpac insisted
before it would issue me with a signature card, it is clear that I was smart enough not to do so, as
otherwise it could have claimed I had agreed the dispute was settled.
Below (left) is a copy of the terminal declining the transfer of $2,000 at 12.06pm on 21-11-2014

Above (right) is a copy of the terminal declining the transfer of $2,000 at 13.08 (pm) on 21-112014 of my personal Handycard as I was given the understanding by the merchant that the limit
to withdraw was $800.00, this I then withdrew.
Because I so to say became mates with the merchants employee he authorised me to use my
vehicle having already paid the $800.00 to be able to withdraw the balance of $1,200 from the
bank branch. While ordinary they wouldnt allow a person to take the motor vehicle without first
settling the account, again because of the friendship with one of the employees they trusted me,
as I had explained matters beforehand. Still it caused the loss of valuable time both of myself and
the merchants employees involved, and needing to make a round trip to collect the monies from
the Westpac branch, as shown below.
Below is a copy of the terminal of Westpac Northland branch where I on 21-11-2014
subsequently attended to withdraw the remaining $1,200 at the counter.

It is very clear that both my wife and I were embarrassed by this, and experiences the same at
some other merchant terminals I view that the FSO recklessly dealt with the matter without any
proper attempt to investigate if a signature card in fact is within the legal requirements of the
Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Age Discrimination Act 2003 where in fact it denies
the person issued with the card to actually use it as purportedly claimed to be as a signature
card.
I have provided documentary evidence to prove the real facts and Westpac so far made claims
without a shred of evidence to support their claims. This matter has been an issue for about 5
months now and well overdue to have a real investigation by the FSO rather than to take the
claims by Westpac as gospel.
