Today midnight, advent season begins. The coming twenty five days are days of prayer
and spiritual preparation for Christmas.
2)
Coming Friday is Frist Friday. There will be a Holy Mass at 7:00 PM followed by Night
Vigil. Those who go for caroling may come and join the adoration by 10:00 PM

Dec 7th, Sunday 9:30 AM onwards there will be a priest available for hearing confession
Dec 20th, Saturday 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM 1 Priest
Dec 21th, Sunday 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM 3 Priests
Dec 22,23 and 24 after 8:30 AM mas, priests will be available to hear confession.

CCD News
a. Dec 7th, Sunday is faith creations day. All students should show their talents
in art, to write poem and stories etc. in the parish hall.
b. Dec 13th, Saturday is annual service day. The following are activities: Cleaning
the church, flower decoration, church decoration, caroling the neighborhood.
c. Dec 14th, Sunday, Madelyn Burbank, Alexian brother will give a speech seminar to
our CCD students.
d. Dec 21st, CCD Christmas pageant after 11:00 AM Mass in the Parish Hall.

Grand Parents day celebrations will be on Dec Sunday, 21st after 11:00 AM Mass.
Womens forum will arrange formal lunch in the Parish hall.
6)
Two more wades are to select their parish council representatives. Selection will be done
on 14th Sunday after 8:00 AM Mass in the church by casting lots.
7)
Ecumenical Christmas celebrations will be at 5:00 PM on Saturday 6th at Maine East high
school in Park Ridge. Everyone is cordially invited.
Marriage Bann: Jisha Joseph, d/o Joseph Augustine and Jansamma Jospeh Palathara and Subash
Abraham, s/o C. J. Abraham and Cicily Abraham Sauriamackal of Vazhathope parish of
Idukki diocese has been arranged.

Bible Reading for Dec 7th - Lk 1: 26-38 Announcement about the birth of Christ.
26 In the sixth month of Elizabeths pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man
named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgins name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord
is with you. 29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, Do not be afraid,
Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the
Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacobs descendants forever; his kingdom will
never end. 34 How will this be, Mary asked the angel, since I am a virgin? 35 The angel answered, The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power
of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[a] the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child
in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail. 38 I am the Lords servant,
Mary answered. May your word to me be fulfilled. Then the angel left her.

CCD News

Faith creations day, December 07, 2014. Please encourage your child to showcase
their talents in art, to write poems and
stories, ability to create dioramas etc.
All their creations will be displayed in the parish hall on that day. Contact your
childs class teacher for details
All Bible month related competitions will be conducted in the regular CCD hour
on December 07, 2014
Annual service day is on Saturday: December 13, 2014. Various volunteering
opportunities are arranged for children. Please check with your childs class
teacher for details.
Madelyn Burbank, LSW from Alexian Brothers would deliver a seminar on physical,
emotional and neurological impact of substance abuse for CCD students on
December 14, 2014.

December Prayer Meeetings

There will not be ward prayer meetings during the
month of December. Instead, as usual, we shall have
the ward-based Bible Quiz based on Acts of the
Apostles. Quizzes will be available from your ward
Presidents/ Representatives, or from any one of the
Malpans by Sunday November 30. Finished quizzes
may be returned to the Rectory no later than
Sunday, December 21st before 1 PM.

CML Winter Wonderfest

CML will be going on their annual field trip to
Winter Wonderfest on Saturday, January 3rd from
9 AM till 6 PM. The fee will be $30 to cover a full
meal, bus transportation, and the activity wristband.
There are four new attractions this year! Come check
it out with us!
