Rationale for Type of Film
An action film is appropriate for this figured world because Harry Potter has spent his whole life
fighting battles against evil. Everyone has anticipated the final battle between Harry and
Voldemort and only an action scene between the two characters can fully capture the essence of
Harrys struggle for victory and Voldemorts desire to kill Harry.
However, this film is different from the original films because the protagonist, Harry, actually
dies. Living in a world where good always prevails is unrealistic and by killing the main
character, it will show viewers that sometimes the good does not always come out in every
situation. While Harrys friends survives, he is unable to defeat his enemy, Voldemort, and is
eventually killed in the final struggle.
