Comparative Film that modeled the type of film I would like to make:

The Social Network (2010) Directed by David Fincher. Estimated budget

$40,000,000

Jobs (2013) Directed by Joshua Michael Stern. Estimated budget 12,000,000

Moneyball (2011) Directed by Bennett Miller. Estimated budget $50,000,000

Actor Roles:

Noah Glass cofounder (squeezed out of company)

Jack Dorsey-cofounder
Ev Williams-cofounder
Biz Stone- cofounder

Projected Budget: $35,000,000-$50,000,000 based on other similar films

Props Needed:

Small home (Where operations began)

A large corporate office
Multiple computers
Large million dollar home with nice cars

Type of Film: Documentary/Drama

Rationale for the Type of Film: Documentary is appropriate for this film because its
purpose is to show people how Twitter was created and where the name and things like
that came from. The drama aspect comes into play with the issue of who founded it. As
with the movies Jobs and The Social Network to a degree there was a degree of
scandal or conflict. This drama aspect of the documentary will help to keep viewers
engaged.

I liked the fact that you chose to focus on the unsung hero of twitter instead of the
person that everybody would know. It shows that you researched the topic very
thoroughly and know what you are talking about. Overall the trailer is great.
I think you could include a 3 or 4 second clip of facts about Noah. These could be
things like his birthday, how he got the idea of twitter or why it was originally spelled
TWTTR. This could give us insight into why he did what he did.
In addition to the comment above, I think you could go further into Noah and other
major players in the creation of twitter. Maybe include a short biography of each
actor in the info sheet. This could help the reader/viewer to know more about the
movie.
I am wondering why Moneyball is on your list of comparative films. Is there a story of
an unsung hero in it or something else? As far as I know it is a baseball movie that is
mostly fictional.
I liked the trailer. I think you picked an appropriate iMovie template that really works
for your type of movie. The part where you show what awards the movie won really
makes it seem like a real trailer and very professional.

I liked the minor details you put into your trailer. Your intro with the UWRT production
symbol was nice touch and made it seem like the real thing. Also your hype for the
awards it was given such as best director really made the trailer and made me
laugh.
Try to involve some miniclips into your trailer such as a Q&A video about noah glass
or any other people involved in the making of twitter if there are any. This would add
a nice touch to your work providing good movement and information.
I suggest trying to splice a youtube clip from the grammy awards for your audience
scene so that it looks real. There are so many where the camera pans across the
audience while they are clapping. You could also take a scene from a comedians
stand up. There is a lot of clapping in those.
The picture where you do a close up of the group of four guys containing Noah
Glass was confusing. I was focused on the guy to the very right while, what looked
like Glass, was to the very right. You could try to do a close up on Noah Glass so we
know if you are focusing on him or the entire group, if that was your intention.
Some of your pictures could use some tweaks such as the intro and twitter symbol.
Try to make the intro on the city picture longer. It felt too short. When the pictures
last longer the transition between them seems smoother. Also you could have the
last scene with the twttr a true story could be overlayed on top of the twitter symbol
at the end.
