Mr Cadabam M Ramesh and Mrs Sudha R Cadabam to establish an organisation to serve
persons with mental health problems. As sequel to quality care offered and commitment for
betterment of persons with mental health problems CADABAMS today has evolved into
countrys largest psycho social rehabilitation centre with various specialty offerings.
CADABAMS today can proudly claim to be a centre which can offer specialty service of
international standards for whatever the problem be. Be it addiction to alcohol and drugs or
Major mental illnesses (Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Personality disorder, OCD, Depression)
or minor mental illness(Anxiety, Neurosis) or Intellectual and developmental disorders/ mental
retardation(Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, mild to Profound mental retardation)
or persons with disability due to mental illness( Chronic Mental Illnesses), CADABAMS has
program which can be tailor made to suit the individual needs. Be it Short term rehabilitation or
long term rehabilitation or Supported Living or Supported Employment or De-addiction or
Recovery oriented interventions all are part of the system and professionals help family and
resident understand and choose the type.
21 years into mental health care CADABAMS is recognised as pioneers in private mental
health care services. Being the biggest psycho social rehabilitation centre of the country with 7
Specialty centres of excellence, internationally accepted evidenced based programs for holistic
recovery of persons with mental health problem. CADADABAMS today is home to 400 persons
with mental health problems undergoing rehabilitation and care under one roof hailing from

sub specialities and allied specialities of mental health care. To be a centre of excellence in
Research and development of evidence based therapeutic interventions and innovative
methods for RECOVERY.
Future Plans
CADABAMS Institute for Neuro Psychiatric Sciences at J.P.Nagar.
Construction is starting in the month of March 2013 and will open for service from Feb 2013.
A suitable land has been purchased at Mudibidri in South Karnataka for a future project in the
field of education and health care related to mental health care.
A suitable land is purchased on the side of the National Highway at Tumkur for a commercial
project. This commercial project will utilise the talents of persons with mental health problems
and empower them.

Bus shelters at various places on kanakapura road, near kaggalipura, udayapalya, agara,
kumbalgod cross and at Gulakamale village.
Donation of class room furniture to the government school at Gulakamale Village.
Donation of Uniforms to students of Sri Adichunchanagiri Residential school for blind.

AMITHA meaning boundless was the first centre to come up in the existing premises
named after Late Amitha M Cadabam sister of Mr Cadabam M Ramesh the Chairman of
Cadabams Group. CADABAMS AMITHA has been the centre which has given opportunity for all
innovations in Psycho Social Rehabilitation and multitude growth of CADABAMS as Group with
various centres of excellence.
Amitha" Campus- being the oldest campus functioning since 1992, still is the largest campus of
the CADABAMS Group with vast open spaces, range of accommodations, range of therapeutic
settings both Open and Closed door, allied living facilities for a comfortable stay, very spacious
dining hall with Grand Kitchen and various therapeutic programs to choose for all types of
mental illness including that of Short term and long term rehabilitation programs.
AMITHA CADABAMS has been the mother centre where most of the current successful
programs were introduced and moved to other settings for exclusivity to name few are
Supported Living, Supported Employment, Supported Education, De-Addiction, Short Term
Rehabilitation and long term care for Persons with Intellectual and developmental disorders.

Centre for Alcohol, Drug De-addiction & Rehabilitation

Alcohol & drugs are ingested by many around us to have fun, as a remedy for emotional &
stressful problems, to be part of a group, to feel good, to feel happy & for much more reasons
without knowing that every 20 out of these 100 become dependent on it. Addiction can happen
to anybody there is no specific sex, occupation, family background, education that has
exception but when there is addiction it surely needs specialized therapy as in ANUNITHA for
recovery.
There are many people who consider use of alcohol for recreational or on social occasions as
normal and acceptable, but little is their awareness that even this carries risk of road traffic
injuries, socially inappropriate or embrasing behaviour.
ANUNITHA literally means Unparalleled. CADABAMS started an exclusive centre for alcohol
and drug de addiction and rehabilitation in the year 2007 with unique programs.

Care
ANKITHA literally means a Special Indentation or A dedication. ANKITHA is a dedicated
speciality wing of CADABAMS for Habilitation and Rehabilitation of Persons with Intellectual
and Developmental disorders (Mental Retardation). ANKITHA as a specialty therapeutic wing
functions in the existing campus of AMITHA.
ANKITHA promises care, dignity, and quality of life to its residents. Besides the needed
professional care it also addresses frontiers of exclusion and families question of AFTER US
WHO. ANKITHA envisages for early recognition, habilitation and rehabilitation of persons with
intellectual and developmental disorders for quick and effective community reintegration.
Person with intellectual and developmental problems are taken on short & extended periods of
stay with specific goals and objectives. For those with poor prognosis and deficit social support
system longer duration of stay and care is considered.
