~ Walk Thru Bethlehem is December 14th ~

Walk Thru Bethlehem is Two Weeks Away and We Need Your Help!
Potter's Shop at Walk Thru Bethlehem
One of the shops at WTB is the Potter's Shop and it has two exciting parts:
1. The first is where the hand built pots are made. Sign up either on www.Walk-ThruBethlehem.com or with Steve Smith's sign up sheet - download it by clicking HERE.
2. The other side of the potter's shop is the potter's wheel where we make oil lamps,
cups and bowls. For that one the shifts are different (much shorter) and you can sign up on
Steve's sign up board located in the Gathering Hall during Sunday morning worship or by
contacting Cyril Stewart, cyril@cyrilstewart.com or (615) 207-5959. If you haven't done it
before, it does require training before Walk Thru Bethlehem. That training will be held during
the last half of this Wednesday's Chili Supper and again from 9:45 to 11:30 am this Sunday
morning, December 7th. The location is at the end of the 2nd floor hall in the Youth Wing next
to room 243. If that doesn't work please contact Cyril. When you come to training wear
clothes that you don't mind getting stained by the clay.
Who can do this? Anyone whose legs are long enough to reach the kick-wheel and who
doesn't mind getting a little messy!

disciples: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you".

This Christmas, how can we give as Jesus gives rather than as the world gives?

The Elders of Woodmont Request You Join Them in Prayer For:

The families receiving Angel Tree gifts - a blessing for both the family and the
one who gives!
Those constrained by loneliness during Advent/Christmas. May hope and
community fill their spiritual emptiness!

GETTING THE LOVE YOU WANT COUPLES WEEKEND WORKSHOP

January 16-18, 2015
Presented by Jeannie Ingram, M.A., and Rod Kochtitzky, M.Div.
This is an intensive two-day workshop for married and unmarried couples to rediscover the joy
and spiritual potential of being together while using their relationship for personal change and
growth. The workshop is based on Imago Relationship Therapy developed by Harville Hendrix,
Ph.D., and Helen LaKelley Hunt, authors of Getting the Love You Want: A Guide for Couples
and Marriage Made Simple.

This workshop is especially helpful to couples who...

Need a weekend to focus on their marriage away from all distractions, including home, family
and work, are beginning a relationship they want to last, seek a deeper, richer relationship with
a partner, have experienced conflict and want to understand the underlying reasons, are in a
difficult relationship and want to resolve conflicts, have considered separation or divorce, and
want to decide if the marriage or relationship can be saved.
Partners will learn:
Why they were attracted to each other, why some of their personal expectations of marriage
are not met, how to identify the true sources of conflict in the relationship, how to use conflicts
as pathways to closeness, healing and growth, how to create the security and closeness for a
lasting marriage, how to break through illusions and projections, how to end destructive cyclescommunicate in constructive ways, how to manage intense feelings; anger, jealousy and
distrust and how to focus on maintaining love and stability rather than arguing to view their
partner with greater compassion and understanding to regain the joy, fun and closeness in the
relationship.
