Localizacin
Cajamarca es un departamento del Per situado en la parte norte del pas.
Est conformado por territorios de sierra y de selva y diminutas porciones
de territorio costero.

Cajamarca is a department of Peru located in the northern part of the

Lmites
Al oeste con los departamentos de Piura y Lambayeque, al sur con La
Libertad, al este con Amazonas y al norte con territorio ecuatoriano.
Limits
On the west by the departments of Piura and Lambayeque, south to La
Libertad, Amazonas east and north by Ecuador.

La capital de Cajamarca es la ciudad del mismo nombre.

Actividades Econmicas
Cajamarca vive un crecimiento econmico impulsado por la minera
aurfera, el tradicional ganado vacuno, la agricultura de secano (con el
maz como principal cultivo) y el turismo.
Tambin es un importante centro agroindustrial del norte peruano, la
produccin de lcteos contribuye al desarrollo de la regin y al
mejoramiento local de razas de ganado lechero.
En la agricultura tiene una mediana produccin de papa, trigo, cebada,
maz, arroz, caa de azcar, algodn, entre otros productos.

Economic activities
Cajamarca live economic growth driven by gold mining, the traditional
cattle, rainfed agriculture (with corn as the main crop) and tourism.
It is also an important agro-industrial center of northern Peru, dairy
production contributes to the development of the region and improving
the local breeds of dairy cattle.
In agriculture has an average production of potatoes, wheat, barley,
maize, rice, sugarcane, cotton, and other products.

Son: el picante de cuy con papa, el chicharrn con mote, las humitas, el

El Departamento se compone de trece provincias: San Ignacio, Jan,
Cutervo, Chota, Santa Cruz, Hualgayoc, Celendn, San Miguel, Cajamarca,
