Why ABE
ABE is a market leader is the cost-effective provision of high quality business and management
qualifications. These qualifications are not only highly valued in their own right but are also accepted
by universities worldwide onto the latter stages of their degree programmes.
ABE programmes are available all over the world which means you can study in your own country
and avoid the high cost of studying and living in the UK. Some of the progression agreements which
ABE holds with universities also allow you to study in your country giving you the chance to
progress from ABE to a degree without leaving home.
ABE accredits colleges around the world to offer ABE programmes. These colleges, of which there
are over 500, all have to complete a stringent accreditation application process which ensures
they offer high standards of teaching and facilities.
ABE has an international network of over 50,000 students currently studying for an ABE qualification.
We aim to support this network as much as possible and to allow our students to interact through
online forums such as Facebook and Twitter as well as face-to-face at events such as alumni
meetings and graduations.
ABE programmes allow you to study several areas of business management before deciding
what you wish to specialise in. All four ABE programmes share common units, giving you the flexibility
to transfer if and when you desire.
Students receive certification awards at every stage of the programme, which means if your
studies are discontinued (after attaining a particular level), you will still have a valuable and
recognised qualification.
Holders of certain other professional qualifications may gain exemptions from ABE Diploma subjects.
Holders of an ABE qualification may gain subject exemptions in the examinations
of other professional bodies.
ABE Level 6 Graduate, Graduate Integrated and Extended Diploma holders with relevant work
experience can gain entry onto Masters or MBA programmes (see ABE progression chart on page 7)
ABE Postgraduate Diploma holders can advance to the latter stages of Masters or MBA
programmes (see ABE progression chart on page 7)
All ABE students receive our quarterly magazine, Student Focus, which is designed to keep you
up to date with important ABE news and developments. The magazine also contains essential
study tips to help you succeed in particular ABE units as well as many other useful features.

What is a Pathway?

A Pathway is a combination of units (with some options within them) which enable you to specialise
in a particular area. The three Pathways are Business Management, Financial Management and the
Management of Information Systems. All successful students will receive a Diploma in Business Management
(at the appropriate level). If you take the Financial Management or Management of Information Systems
Pathways the relevant Pathway will be shown on your award certificate. This will be especially useful if you
are considering a career in, or planning to study further in, either of these Pathway areas.

Okwah Onome
Advanced Diploma* in Business Management
Having progressed from his previous role as Account
Manager for Sesema PR, Nigeria, Okwah is now Sales and
Service Associate at Chevy Chase Bank in Washington DC.
Okwah Onome has finished his ABE Advanced Diploma*
in Business Management through self-study.
I chose to study the Advanced Diploma in Business
Management because ABE offers me the all-round
knowledge needed to excel as a world class
business manager.
My business idea transcends Nigeria (Africa), and I want
to be a world class business manager. ABE has practically
taught me to work hard because it takes an uncommon
interest to pass eight courses with one month of self study.
Theoretically, it has equipped me with the unusual all-round
business management ability and business communication,
marketing, accounting and business law knowledge.
ABE is an all-round managerial training organisation.
Im honoured and privileged to be part of this wonderful
institution! I would continue to recommend ABE to
anybody who desires an enviable career as a world
class business manager.
