Assignments
Each week students will work on a specific computer skill by completing assigned chapters in the book.
For each chapter of Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, students will complete assigned homework in
MyITLab. MyITLab skill-based training assignments and grader projects must be completed and
submitted to MyITLab. Students have three attempts to complete MyITLab skill-based training
assignments and grader projects. The highest grade for each MyITLab skill-based training assignment and
grader project is used to calculate the points earned.
All assignments are listed on the course outline located on Beach Board and Myitlab contents. If students
are unable to complete the assigned work by the due date, then students are expected to attend a computer
lab session on Thursday or Friday to get assistance and complete the work. If you attend a lab, you will
receive the full points earned on the assignment. The Lab schedule is posted on Beach Board and
MyITLab.
Each student must do his or her own work. Copying assignments will be considered cheating and all
parties will be penalized. Students are encouraged to discuss class work and assignments together. You
learn a lot from your peers since you go through the same learning process. The instructor receives a report
in MyITLab of copied assignments. IF YOU COPY ANOTHER PERSONS ASSIGNMENT EITHER IN
PART OR IN WHOLE, THIS IS CONSIDERED CHEATING.
Note: No assignments will be accepted via printouts, disks, faxes or emails. This means electronic homework is not
accepted either as an email or an attachment. All assignments must be posted to MyITLab.

Grading Policy
You must complete each section of this course and receive a 70 points or more in
each section in order to receive Credit for the course.
Credit
- 70 points and above for each section
No Credit - 69 points and below on any section

MyITLab Gradebook Calculations

The gradebook in MyITLab shows the overall points earned per module. You need 70 points in
each module to pass the class. If you view the detail of each module in the gradebook, the score
for each assignment is shown. Each grader project is worth 20 percent of the overall points for
the module, and each skill-based training assignment is worth 5 percent of the overall points for
the module. For example, if you earn a 70 percent on a grader project, that will total to 14 points
for the overall module grade (70 *.20 = 14). If you earn a 70 percent on a skill-based training
assignment, that will total to 3.5 points (70 * .05 = 3.5).
