Congratulations on your wish to study and explore one of the world’s most
famous languages and civilizations.
Course description
This course is the first semester French studies and it assumes no previous
knowledge of this language. Students who have taken at least two years of French at
the high school should take the level 3.000 .
The course gives emphasis to listening, reading, speaking and writing French.
It opens up the world of practical French culture and civilization for global
understanding.

Evaluation:
It is a fast-paced course and students must attend each class and come
prepared for oral and written activities. Homework is assigned daily and must be done
to progress in a cumulative acquisition of vocabulary and grammar.
Participation in class is valued geatly and late arrivals are disruptive to the
learning process. Three “ tardies” equal one absence.
