IN THE SAFETY OF HIS ARMS

A Prophetic Word from Minister Cynthia Wilson – 07/09

“So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy
shall come in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”

As we are living in times of economic downturn, God is yet in control, for He is Sovereign. God will not allow anything to
come upon you that you cannot bear. Satan desires to bring destruction, but God is above all plans of the enemy. Yes,
we are living in days of great turmoil, uncertainty and danger, but there is safety in the arms of the Lord.

We are living in times that not only our nation experiences shaking, but many other nations are shaken. Just as Jesus
warned Peter, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have
prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. “ Many times God
will permit the shaking by the enemy due to things in our heart that mirrors idolatry. Well, many of us will say, well I have
never committed idolatry, well if you love anything or any person, including yourself more than God, idolatry is erected on
the throne of your heart. Just as Peter had an area of pride, many of us need a shaking to bring us to our knees in prayer.

Although God permits the shaking, the enemy will do all he can to destroy the faith of the believer, especially in times of
vulnerability such as this season of financial distress. Be on guard, be alert, watchful and prayerful, don’t allow the
enemy to steal your faith and joy in these days. “Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah
8:10 ).

Stay bold and courageous in the midst of a world filled with a cloud of fear and intimidation. The secular news reporters
will daily declare the doom and gloom stories of our nation and the world, but you, believer make God’s Word your main
focus. Focus on the promises of God, meditate on His goodness and you will begin to experience that peace that mount
guards and garrisons your mind and heart. God is able to keep you in perfect peace as you keep your mind stayed on
Him. Trust in the Lord forever. When times were good, you didn’t really need to trust the Lord because you had what you
needed, now that times are not so good, it’s now time to exercise your faith by trusting God to supply all your needs.

Behold, the name of the Lord comes from afar, Burning with His anger, and His burden is heavy; His lips are full
of indignation, and His tongue like a devouring fire. His breath is like an overflowing stream, which reaches up
to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity (futility). Isa. 30:27, 28).

There is a sifting and shaking of our nation and other nations. Instead of a sweet smelling savor going up to God, the
stench of the nations exudes in the nostrils of God. The culmination of sinful nations compels God to respond in anger
and indignation. Nations have chosen their own ways and rejects God and His instructions. His heart is so burden with
the rebellion of the nations. We cannot begin to comprehend the burden and sadness of the Lord’s heart. However, we
do know what it is like when our own children rebel against us as parents and refuse our instructions. Our hearts become
sad and heavy with the weight of their sinful ways.

As God shakes the nation, the world is perplexed about what to do in midst of this financial crisis, never before have the
leaders of nations come together to devise a plan to stabilize the world economy. In a nationwide prayer request for
President Obama and other world leaders was to pray for them as they meet to discuss what can be done to bring stability
in the world wide economy. However, when God is left out of the equation to solve problems the solutions of man does
not work or accomplish the desired results. Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (Psalm 2:10, 11)

I implore you to join with me to pray and intercede for our President and the administration as they seek to find solutions.
We desire for President Obama to seek the wisdom of God, just as King Solomon.

Many are looking to our new government and President Obama and we gladly welcome change; however, it not our new
president or leaders of other nations that will bring resolution to our present day crisis. It is God we must look to guide us
and restore us.

This is not a time to shrink back in fear and worry, but this is a significant time to press forward in prayer. I’m delighted to
have President Obama as our president of the United States. He’s not perfect in all his ways, but the king’s heart is in
the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes. (Prov. 21:1). We must pray for our
President, pray for our nation as never before.

Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and
wondered that there was no intercessor; therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; and His own
righteousness, it sustained Him. (Isaiah 59:16).

Will you be that prayer warrior that is rising up to intercede for your family and our nation?

God provided us the remedy in His Word for the healing of our nation. “If my people, which are called by my
name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear
from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal the land. (II Chronicles 7:14).

This season of time is crucial for saints of God to take prayer seriously. We must purpose in our heart and put into action
praying for our families, our president and our country as never before. God not only desires to heal our nation, but it is
time that we as a chosen people, a royal priesthood rise up to the occasion to doing exploits in Jesus’ name. We must
not only do exploits, but be the true representatives of righteousness and holiness. Many are called to preach the gospel,
now is the time to win the lost to Jesus. If we have the faith, as the word of God says, “they that believe shall lay
hands on the sick and they shall recover, they shall also cast out devils.” These are works that Jesus said we
would do and even greater works. Wake up saints, our time is here to be used mightily by God!

When we begin to do what II Chronicles 7:14 say, we will receive this promise of the Lord.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is
his treasure. Isaiah 33:6

Jesus is our Intercessor, praying for us to stand strong in faith and live a courageous, God-filled life. Imitate what Jesus is
doing; you pray also, intercede for your family, others and our nation.

Those of you that have not surrendered your life now is the day of salvation, Jesus has His arms open to receive you.
Invite Him into your heart today and begin to call on Jesus. He will hear your prayer, it is not His desire to see you perish,
but for you to have eternal life. He desires to see that you prosper and be in good health. Turn to Jesus today and don’t
put it off any longer, tomorrow is not promised, do it while the Holy Spirit is drawing on your heart. Don’t believe that you
can clean your own life up or quit some bad habits before you turn to Jesus. It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit that
change can come into your life.

I’m looking forward to our reunion, prepare for a life changing event, by praying and fasting for God to do something
miraculous in your life. You know what God needs to do for you, begin to seek God in prayer about these things and if
you have a specific request for me pray about with you, send the prayer request to me by email, phone or letter.

Come to the family reunion with high expectation and see the wonders of the Lord!

And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
(Joshua 3:5). When Joshua spoke to the people about them sanctifying themselves, he was asking them to fast
and pray because on tomorrow God have some magnificent wonders for you.

Purpose in your heart to fast and pray for the miraculous things God has in store for us during the time of our reunion and
afterwards.

2
The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: the Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: the Lord lift up
his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Numbers 6:24-26.

From your very own,
