Course Description:
Internet Studio is an introductory course in interactive web site design. Students will
explore visual layout, multimedia design and technological integration. Macromedia
Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash and Apple Final Cut Pro will be the tools used for the
production of a cohesive multimedia web site. The course will consist of lectures,
demonstrations, assignments, internet oriented projects and critiques.

Course Requirements:
Attendance is mandatory.
Assignments are due on the assigned date.

Grading Procedures:
Grades are based on the following guidelines:
10 points: Assignment 1 - HTML page of Site Ideas
10 points: Assignment 2 - Printed Site Proposal
10 points: Assignment 3 - Three Dreamweaver Pages of Site Proposal
10 points: Assignment 4 - Printed Site Plan
10 points: Assignment 5 - Flash SWF of Site Plan
10 points: Assignment 6 - 1st Draft of Site with Links and Static Elements
10 points: Assignment 7 - 2nd Draft of Site with Dynamic Elements
10 points: Assignment 8 - Short Movie in Final Cut Pro
10 points: Assignment 9 - Finished Site
10 points: Critiques
A 90 - 100 points
B 80 - 89 points
C 70 - 79 points
D 60 - 69 points
F 0 - 59 points

A grade of incomplete may be given, at the discretion of the instructor, when a student
has completed at least 70% of the required course material but cannot complete all
requirements by the end of the semester. An incomplete course grade must be
completed within the time period specified by the instructor. Upon completion of the
required work, the incomplete may be converted into a letter grade by the instructor. If
the grade of incomplete is not removed by the end of the specified period, it will
automatically be changed to an F.
Students who are unable to complete this course must request an incomplete or
formally withdraw from it at the Registrar’s office. Disabled students who require
accommodations may contact the Office of Disability Services at 972-883-2098.

Academic Dishonesty:
Scholastic dishonesty includes, but is not limited to, statements, acts or omissions
related to applications for enrollment or the award of a degree, and/or the submission as
one’s own work of material that is not one’s own. As a general rule, scholastic
dishonesty involves one of the following acts: cheating, plagiarism, collusion and/or
falsifying academic records. Students suspected of academic dishonesty are subject to
disciplinary proceedings.
