We asked 21 people to partake in a

pre-questionnaire. It involved 15
separate questions, which they
needed to tick at least one for each
question. We asked 15 males and
16 females.

We wanted to find out how old

or potential target audience
would be. From this graph it is
clear to see that most of the
people we asked were between
the ages of 15 to 17. This is a
good age range as our film is
aimed at anyone above the age
of 15.

Asking this question allowed us

to work out what our target
audience did during their every
day life. This gave us a rough
time scale where we could
estimate that they could have
time to view our product. From
our data most of the people we
asked were in full time
education this meant that they
had the weekend free and
possible anytime after 3:30pm
Monday Friday.

From this chart it is clear more
than 50% of the people we
handed these questionnaires
out too. This is an excellent
finding as it means there is a
larger audience out there than I
originally expected.

Again this question helps back

up our findings in question 4
that there is a larger audience
for short films than expected.

Asking a question like this allows

us to figure out what genre our
target audiences prefer and from
this I gathered that action and
horror are the two most popular
movie genres. This will most
definitely influence my chosen film
genre.

Most of our target audiences are avid

movie watchers statistically spending at
least 2-3 hours of their day to watch a film
give or take an hour or 2 extra. This means
that our target audience will easily have
enough time to watch our 5-minute short
film.

I asked this question so that I could

understand how smart my target
audience is. Also, I was able to see
how our target audience can
perceive and differentiate between
genres. After learning this I have
decided to make sure that my film

wanted to go back and re- write the script.

15. From the feedback I received
the audience thought my film was a
12A, which has now made me
reconsider the final draft of the
script. I realized I havent included
enough adult material within the

Lost Ones. These were our two
top chosen names. I found this
information extremely helpful
as it allowed my partner and I
to make a further judgment on
what we will name our
