Business Card

Description:
Business card for a fictional floral company called Flourish.

Objectives:
Create a new logo to fit a company or personal image. Desing cnosistent layouts for a business card.

Process:
I began by making the logo using Adobe Illustrator. Once
that was complete I placed the logo in Adobe Indesign. I
edited the flowers transparency to give it a soft design. For
the business card I began by making two matching rectangles
as an outline.

Process:
I began by making the logo using Adobe Illustrator. Once

Brochure

Description:
Two sided letter style folding brochure.

Objectives:
Set up and align a two-sided, folded document. Learn how
to wrap text around an image.

Process:
Using Adobe Photoshop I wrapped the image of the florists
and placed them onto the layout. Then one-by-one I placed
the other images and placed rectangles with feather gradients
over each image. Using text boxes I added the body copies.

Montage

Description:
A montage of two images with an inspirational saying.

Objectives:
Learn to manage Photoshop layers. Learn to blend images
togeth smoothly, using masks.

Process:
I altered both images levels and saturation before combining them. At that point I made a copy of image 2 (the girls
walking). I blurred the top layer and while using a mask I
began blending all three images together. Finally I added the
phrase be the light among the darkness and matched the
color to the girls dress in image 2.

were scanned from a magazine.

Process:
After scanning the images they were inserted into a word document. The images were arranged as a frame to the information and the rectangles were used to fill in the blanks. Lastly
I added the event information.

Freddies Pawn Shops

Auction

Proceeds go to local youth homes and shelters.
The auction will be held at the local civic center on Saturday,
October 18, 2014, starting at 8 PM. A light dinner will
precede the auction beginning at 5:30 PM.
Tickets can be purchased at Freddies Pawn Shop.

Learn basic photography skills. Adjust image brightness,
contrast, hue and saturation levels.

Process:
I selected a photo and edited levels, vibrance/sats, selective
color, sharpness. Once the photo was how I wanted it to
look I inserted it into a Adobe Photoshop document and
began to add rectangles. I adjusted the colors based on my
color scheme (which was decided based on my nephews
t-shirt in the photo). Lastly I inserted the text.

Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography.
Process:
I began by creating the focal point, which in this case is the
title. From then I added elements starting from largest to
smallest, aligning them to the outside as they were added
and leaving plenty of white space. Lastly I added repetition
through the dotted lines.

Create a variety of logos to fit a company or personal image.
Process:
The greatest asset I used to create my logos were the shapes
tools. Through the combination of different shapes I was
able to make the house and for sale sign. Once the foundation was made I added the text (company name).
