This is simply a photo of the cover page of Common Sense (By Thomas Paine himself) that
Britannica provided.
Paine, Thomas. Common Sense. Charlottesville, Va.: U of Virginia Library, 1993. Print.
This is an electric copy of Thomas Paines very own pamphlet [Common Sense]. I used it to
actually read through and to understand how this man sparked the rising need of independence.
To be honest, it was a shame that he started off anonymous, but due to the hate he had received
from other things, I think by staying anonymous until the time was right really help the colonists.
Paine, Thomas. The Writings of Thomas Paine. Ed. Moncure Daniel Conway. Vol. IV. New York: G.
P. Putnam's Sons, 1896. Print.
This was also on electric copy of the actual novel of itself. Like my annotated bibliography of the
source below, I used this to my advantage of getting to know Paines writings more.
Thomas Paine: The Rights of Man, 2nd Ed. British Library 523.f.19, Pp.168-169.
A photo of Thomas Paines The Rights of Man, which was only used for presentation only.

This helps provides a lot of information on Paines biography in general. I used it mostly for
the legacy.

A small bit of information on Thomas Paine that I have taken notes on and about. Like the
bibs down below, this also had information on Thomas Paine and hi legacies/successes.

A.Owen, Aldridge. Thomas Paine's American Ideology. University of Delaware, 1984. Print.
This was a electronic copy that gave an idea of Paines ideology for America. I used this to,
well, get some information in general.

Rather than actually use this for information, I just wanted to know more about one of Paines
writings.

This talks about Thomas Paines hard work and successes that truly makes this man one-of-akind. The article also goes into detail of events and how Paine affected history. I ended up
learning more about Thomas Paine and so, I used some of this information for notes.
Philp, Mark. "Thomas Paine." Stanford University. Stanford University, 18 July 2013. Web. 30
Sept. 2014. <http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/paine/#SigLeg>.
The information in this particular area or section described the significances and legacies
that he [Thomas Paine] has left behind. Not only that, it provides how his writings in
particular would sway or influence his readers, which is the information I will be using.
Smith, George F. "Thomas Paine, Liberty's Hated Torchbearer." Thomas Paine, Liberty's
Hated Torchbearer. Ludwig Von Mises Institute, 8 June 2010. Web. 14 Oct. 2014.

Rather than talk about legacy, this article talks more about the struggles of the torch-bearing
revolutionary. I used it to highlight some of the struggle hes gone though in life before his
famous writings.

Web. 2 Sept. 2014.
This website provided the information of the novel Common Sense rather than information
on Thomas Paine himself. But, due to the Common Senses significance to the American
public during the time, it itself left an impact that influenced the people of that era. That is
why I decided to add it [the information on Common Sense]. This counted as one of the
lasting legacies from Paines leadership.

This website is strongly on majority of Paines biography. Im using this website for the
information that it has for Common Senses success and the message that it impacts towards
the political world. Not only that, but of his other works such as Rights of Man and The Age
of Reason.
