The ASEAN Economic Community.


ASEAN (The Association of Southeast Asian
Nations) comprises ten countries and has a
population of over 600 million.
The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is an
EU-style economic union that will come into
effect in late 2015.
The AEC will bring a free flow of labor, trade
and investment to Southeast Asia but
without a shared currency and other
shortcomings of the EU.

Market Opportunity
We are in the investment consulting industry.
ASEAN has maintained 5.3% annual GDP growth since 2006.
ASEAN as a whole is expected to be the fourth largest economy in the
world by 2050 after China, the US and the EU.

The region is home to over 3 million people with a net worth of over
US$1,000,000, with double digit growth in the number of millionaires over
the past two decades.

There is no consultancy service with a singular focus on helping personal and


institutional clients invest throughout Southeast Asia for the AEC.

Potential investors are held back by a language barrier. For example, a Singaporean
wanting to invest in Vietnam will only find stock and private equity information in
Vietnamese not his native language.

Investment between ASEAN countries is nonetheless growing a rapid pace,


surpassing 20% per year since 2010.

A survey by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce showed that 89% of ASEAN businesses

Current Solutions Are Inadequate

The services provided by multinational banks (Citibank, HSBC, etc.) are not
sufficient. Banks wont provide investment advice for private equity or the stock
market.

The services of large consultancies (McKinsey, Bain, etc.) are also inadequate. They
are run by expats sent from the home office who lack knowledge of the regional
market and have no ability to deal with a language barrier.

There is no bank or consultancy in the region with a presence in and an ability to


help invest in all ten ASEAN countries.

InvestAsian provides a platform for investors to read, analyze, find tips on and
ways to invest throughout Southeast Asia whether through private equity, or on
any of the regions 8 stock indices.

InvestAsian breaks down the language barrier. Content is written in English, and
translated into a local language.

InvestAsian can help clients open a brokerage and bank account in order to trade
stocks in a region of their choice.

InvestAsian has a large network of connections that is in touch with venture


capital, partnership, and business opportunities in all ten ASEAN countries.

Our Solution: InvestAsian

Our focus will initially be on Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia with plans for
expansion into Vietnam, Myanmar and Mainland China.
Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia are some of Southeast Asias largest economies, and have many high-net worth individuals.
However, there is very little content on the web about global investing in the languages of these three countries.

The marketing tactics we will use include:

Social Media
Partnerships with local/regional banks, hedge funds and investor communities.
Targeted outreach to popular websites that are local, rather than internationally focused.
Physical advertisements on the Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta public transit systems.
Advertisements in magazines and newspapers that high net worth individuals in Asia tend to read.
Outreach to businesses, investment funds and specific people who are likely want advice on
investing abroad.

Marketing and Growth Strategy

Paid content will consist of our consultancy service, subscriptions to monthly reports,
and white papers.

These will give information that is extremely hard to come by - such as specific venture capital opportunities and how to
open foreign brokerage accounts from home.

Free content will consist of news, economic updates and general investment tips.

While more basic than our paid content, this type of information is hard to find in our target countries and will be unique
enough to lure in many regular visitors, while providing value to our advertisers.

We have four different revenue streams.

Providing custom consultancy services to individuals and businesses.


Subscription to a monthly report with economic data & investment recommendations.
Selling individual reports, e-books and white papers.
Selling banner ads to advertisers on our free articles.

InvestAsian Ltd. is incorporated in Hong Kong as an International Business Company
(IBC). As a Hong Kong IBC, we pay 0% corporate income tax on non-Hong Kong
sourced income.

This makes InvestAsian a tax-free business, with the exception of any clients who may be Hong Kong residents.
Your investment, and our business, is more viable by not being subject to double-digit corporate income tax.

InvestAsian is well managed and our founders have a large amount of investment
experience, market familiarity, and business connections in Southeast Asia.
InvestAsian will work closely with our financiers and their considerations to increase
their likelihood of a successful exit.
