Making Kuala University as one of the leading universities in Southeast Asia in the
development of science and technology, produces high quality graduates who uphold moral

MISSION
1. Provide education and quality teaching to produce graduates who are qualified as experts,
researchers and thinkers to utilize the broadest application of technology for the development
of science.
2. Develop a culture and systems research to produce quality research and beneficial to
society.
3. Develop institutional cooperation in order to accelerate development into an independent
university.
4. Improving the quality of university management and continuous to support activities and
services through the application of the principles of accountability, transparency and
participatory characterized by good governance.
5. Promote community service based on large social responsibility.

UNSYIAH has many departments in need in the world of work, both industry and
non-industry that can compete internationally.

Weaknesses
Kompetensi lulusan yang mampu bersaing pada pasar tenaga kerja internasional masih
rendah.
Jumlah guru besar masih terbatas. Unsyiah 38 orang,usu 167
Saat ini, lapor Samsul pada Presiden SBY, Unsyiah memiliki 1.508 dosen. Dari jumlah ini
322 telah menyelesaikan pendidikan S3, dan 1.037 telah berpendidikan magister, serta 248
dari magister ini sedang melanjutkan pendidikan doktor.
Kualitas dan profesionalisme tenaga kependidikan masih rendah.
Masih kurangnya taman yang dapat memperindah kampus.
