" The Island "
The story of the movie was all about cloning, where rich people can buy a lifeinsurance in form of a clone. The clones live separately in a closed building which is located
on an isolated place. So clones are physically human like but they are mentally ignorant of
everything. They don't even know how life supposed to work. They were so isolated in the
civilization. The clones was imprinted with some made up memories which is kind the put them
into jeopardy of life at the outside which is according to their thought it is contaminated and the
one who created them creates a life about this fantastic idea about living a peaceful island. So
the whole thing revolve unto man made humans which has no freedom to discover and has a
fear of the world outside due to the manipulation of the man who created them. Until theres
this bug that flew in Lincoln Six Echo's room were it serves a light to the definition of life. The
bug opened-up the curiosity in the mind of Lincoln Six Echo about the outside world, it
triggered him to find it out whats really the life outside and as the movie progresses he
discovered that everything about the island is a lie and the contamination is not true and just
made up just to scare them and fear everything outside their compound so that they wont
escape and just fantasized the island. But Lincoln Six Echo were not able to hold back by that
fear, so in return he discovered that life is way better than the island. So in the relation to the
allegory of the cave, clones depicted the prisoners who have no idea of reality because they
were stuck on this cave, while clones are also prisoned in a compound and the idea of the
island in their heads. And the bugs depicted the shadow, which serves as an evidence of life, it
opened the mind and eyes of Lincoln Six Echo to seek whats life outside and the reality. The
lottery represent the game in the cave, The Game represents how people believe that one
person can be a master when they have knowledge of the empirical world. And the escape of
Lincoln Six Echo and Jordan Two Delta represents the Philosopher who wants to seek outside
the cave for knowledge and had a journey for finding the truth and wisdom, which they both
found. They both found out that they were just created to provide new organs to their real
copied human. And lastly, when Jordan Two Delta and Lincoln Six Echo return to their
compound, which also happened to the prisoners of the cave they've also returned to the cave
after an intellectual journey outside, at first people at the compound were scared about Jordan
and Lincolns return because they are apparently afraid about the contamination because they
were exposed to outside but as Jordan and Lincoln explains everything they let them exposed
the other clone outside and let the see for their own eyes that there is life outside rather than
the island.
