Terminal Objective:
Students will apply their knowledge of how to count back to subtract 1 and 2 by solving subtraction problems using a number line.
Anticipatory Set:
“I have a fun computer game for you to play today, and you will need to know how to subtract to play it. I will first show you an easy way to find the answers for the game.”
Telling Objective:
“Today you will practice counting back 1 or 2 from a number to solve subtraction problems and then play a computer game to show what you have learned.”
Purpose:
“It is important that you know how to count back to find the difference when you are subtracting 1 or 2 from a number because it will help you in learning your subtraction
facts.”
