Critical meeting of
DSG combine today

n Wednesday the Unite combine

for DSG meets in London. This
is an important meeting both for
DSG workers and for workers across the
public sector.
The fightback at DSG has shown that
workers are prepared to fight seriously for
decent pay.
DSG have been faced with strikes of
two days, four days and now ten days.
They have seriously underestimated the
resolve of Unite members. They thought
theyd face a few days of strikes and then
it would all be over. They were wrong.
Then they thought they could win
a return to work by using the bonus
payment.

Resolve

But DSG members have shown the

resolve to stick out for what they deserve.
Like every worker in Britain DSG
workers have faced real terms pay cuts for
years on end.
Now is the time to stop the rot and for
DSG workers to start to catch up.
The solidarity shown by the workforce
is impressive. The pickets have been big
despite the cold.
Now is the time to plan how to take
the dispute forward. If DSG dont see
reason then escalating the strike into
the new year has to be the most sensible

option.
Unite is right behind this dispute.
Everyone knows that a victory at DSG
would be a win for every worker in the
public sector. This is a fight that can win.

Escalate

If we stick together and escalate we can

get a result for DSG workers and for
every worker on Britain.
On Thursday every DSG striker
should get down to the picket lines, get
the feedback from the combine and make
sure they are part of taking the fight
forward.
