PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT

SYNOPSIS
This course is an introduction to management theories, principles, concepts,
functions and strategies used for organizational management. The focus is on the

nature of management, models of organizational structure and design,


management theory and application, leadership, job design and composition,
employee supervision and motivation, performance, group and inter-group
behavior, planning, organizing, controlling and leading.

At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

comprehend understanding of managing organization, managing
employees, physical resources and environment.
discuss and apply the planning, organizing and control processes
describe various theories related to the development of leadership skills,

Submission for group assignment chapter 5 & 10 is on week 8 and
