Good morning everyone, it is a pleasure for me to be here and talk about an
important issue, as it is the problem between Palestine and Israel.
Today, Im in front of you as a student from Egypt that is concerned about what
is happening in the world and what will happen in the future.
Nowadays, Palestine is confronting a serious problem with Israel because of
land. Consequently, 121 Palestinian had been killed, which 80% were under 12.
Furthermore, According to a rapid assessment by aid workers in Gaza, about
107,000 children require specialized treatment for the trauma suffered by
experiencing attacks that killed their families or their homes got destroyed.
Besides that, my motivation to stand here today is because a Palestinian student,
who is a friend of mine, came to me and said the following: Jews came to our
land and threw us out. When we defended what was ours, they beat us by force.
Since then, we live oppressed. They chased us all over the world; it was then that
in the 19th century we got tired about it and searched for a national place. It
could only be in Palestine. After many struggles and after the greatest
humanitarian disaster in history, the world granted us a place to set down. Since
then, the Arabs didnt want to share land with us; and when we reached out for
peace, the Arabs wanted more. Their only desire is to drive us out of Palestine at
any price, but our hope is to defend ourselves every day from being killed.
There are hundreds of activists for human rights and social workers that are not
only talking about their rights, but also are struggling to achieve their gold of
peace. Thousands of people have been killed in Palestine and Israel. Could you
imagine if your kids were suffering to survive and have to hide for not being
killed with bombs? Could you imagine what kids will suffer in the future because
of these wars? So here, I stand in front of you as a student who is concerned

about the problems that can trigger these disputes between countries in the
future and raise my voice for those whose voice cant be heard. Those who have
fought for their rights. The right to live in peace.
Finally, I would like to leave you with a statement: who suffer, who lose their
families or houses, who died; are people, not land or religion.
