Steps to be taken to overcome terrorism

We are just concerned Pakistanis definitely not politicians & neither claim to know it
all by a far stretch and do not think I have all or any of the answers to the present
situation but I refuse to keep quiet . I refuse to have a "Soug" of three days and
move on as if nothing happened. I refuse to take apologies from our political or
religious leaders. I refuse to accept it as fate and I refuse to give up without trying.
So here are a few points that I think can make a difference and these steps should
be taken ASAP.
1. First and foremost all political parties and their respective leaders must
condemn Taliban
unequivocally and declare them enemy of the state number one.
2. They must apologize to the nation in general and families of all those killed and
harmed by these terrorists in particular for their lack of action all these years
and admit that they have done nothing to prevent these disasters from
happening.
3.

All madrasahs and religious institutions should be banned or strictly monitored

as these are the
breeding grounds of future terrorists.

4. An all out offensive against terrorists foreign or domestic should be started

ASAP with policy of taking no prisoners.
5. Sympathy for these murderers should be declared an act of treason against the
welfare of the state and be punishable by law.
6. Ideally Pakistan should be declared as a Secular state but falling short of that ,
state should stay clear of religion. If and only if the country remains to be
Islamic Republic then follow the teachings which are right by thorough
investigation of the teachings with the help of those religious leaders which
have knowledge of religion and academic education unlike people like fake
scholars we see on tv.
7. All religious parties should be barred from politics for life.
8. The terrible trio of blasphemy law, anti Ahmedi law and Hudood ordinance
should me repealed or at least modified since Ahmadi, Christians, Buddhists and
people from other religions are also citizens of the country.

9. School curricula should be revised to be more factual and not stuff of fairy tales
containing only one sided story especially Pakistan Studies should be
completely start from scratch because and take notes from the
independent(neutral) historians who have accurate information of the country.

10.A special anti terrorism force should be created in every para-military

department like Police and Rangers to primarily focus on all aspects of the
problem from roots, causes, participants to feeder groups and sympathizers and
financial providers as well as actively combating the existing terrorists.
11.Aiding and abetting a terrorist or terrorist organization in any way should be
declared a crime. Funding for these organizations is done in broad daylight
during Friday and Eid prayers in particulars as all of us have seen people asking
for alms, charity, zakat,sadqa etc to support the XYZ mujahideens outside
mosques throughout the country. The charity we give out is inevitably used to
fund these terrorists which then kill our citizens in the forms of suicide bombs
and by other dastardly means.
12. Special terrorism courts should be set up to give straightaway death sentences
to those who are terrorists and their accomplices.
13.Leaders of all variety should STOP blaming foreign forces for everything that's
wrong with us so this escapist mentality does not trickle down to masses as
well.
14. No religious group or sect should be allowed have huge inflammatory rallies or
congregations. Religion is a personal matter and should remain so.
15.Sermons should not he delivered on loud speakers and mullahs spreading hate
speech arrested & punished. Instead they should be encouraged to deliver
messages of peace, tolerance, mutual respect, understanding and interfaith
harmony. All institutions, big or small should be vocal on pressurizing the
politicians as well as raising awareness amongst the masses.
16.Law enforcement agencies should be highly paid and corruption free and most
importantly NOT under the orders or influence of politicians and feudals .
17.VIP culture has to go. The divide between rich and Poor is appalling to say the
least and another reason we are a breeding ground of all things rotten . Social
justice is a must before any change can be expected. Everyone in the country
should be given job opportunities according to their resptive qualifications.
18.It must be made understood via active campaigning that minorities in this
country are as much Pakistani and entitled to all rights as a citizen as any
Muslim Pakistani.

19.The media should be held accountable for being biased. The present useless
governing body needs to be revamped or replaced and media should stay
unbiased at all time by law.
20. The Army, our most powerful institution, should own responsibility of wrong
doing and purge itself of the fanatics that have grown within. Only then they'll
earn the confidence and respect of the masses. According to the army the
operation Zarb-e-Azb is going well. If it is going so well then explain the
Peshawar incident please? If you are doing so well then please present the dead
bodies or remains of the terrorists that you have killed so far instead of lying to
the people of Pakistan as we have a right to know.

21.All kachi abadis like Bangali Para, Kati Pahari, Al-Asif Square, lyari, FATA,Ilaqa-eGhair etc should be flushed straight away as these areas are the safe haven for
the terrorists. The people with no valid Pakistani CNIC should be deported
wherever they came from. Nobody seeking political refuge in Pakistan should be
allowed to stay. Illegal border crossings shouldnt take place and if they the
people doing should be shot on sight.
22.All kachi abadis like Bangali Para, moosa colony etc and potential no go areas
like Kati Pahari,Al-Asif Square, Lyari,FATA,Ilaqa-e-Ghair etc. should be flushed
straight away as these areas are the safe havens for the terrorists. The people
with no valid Pakistani CNIC should be deported wherever they came from.
Nobody seeking refuge in Pakistan should be allowed to stay. Illegal border
crossing shouldnt take place and they do the people doing it should be shot on
sight.
23.Lastly but most importantly we the people must accept responsibility instead
of keeping on passing the buck to everyone from foreign forces to politicians to
religious leaders etc. At the end of the day it's our personal choice what to
believe or not , what to follow or not . Not only should we reject non-sense, we
should denounce it very vocally as much as we can. We must take all steps
necessary to ensure extremism does not prosper. We must raise positive,
responsible and committed future citizens by raising our kids prejudice free and
tolerant. Each man can make a difference.It is time to let the terrorists know on
this day the people fought back.
In the end I would like to mention this is not my voice. Its the voice of every single
