Management, in the modern times primarily means handling men, machine,
market, labour, money and material in the most optimum manner.

There are various choices available to the school of today.


Information system is a common pool of communication
between schools and parents / children. Practice makes a man
perfect. A student gets theoretical knowledge from classroom
and gets practical knowledge from industrial training. When
these two aspects of theoretical knowledge and practical
experience come together then a student is fully equipped to
secure his best.

To introduce this practical aspect of management education a practical training
is obligatory requirement for the partial fulfillment of PGDM degree at Gnit
College of Management, Greater Noida [U.P].

Executive Summary

IT products which were available for the selling in the school during the tenure
of our work for 8 weeks. It was nice experience working with the staff of at
SaiMeddha Ventures Pvt. Ltd. and the experience which was gained at the
time of selling ERP,IVRS,SMS,,ONLINE REPORT pack and coming across
many unknown things which, not being in the market couldn’t have been
possible to study. Working with the SaiMeddha Ventures Pvt. Ltd. and the
staff was being a wonderful experience for me.

Many things which are of practical nature and not given in any of the books are
taught in the field which are of great help in the near future. You got to learn
many things like, how to talk to a person and what expressions to show at the
right time. There are good and bad people in the organization and you got to

teach lot many things from them. What I experienced while working was not to
indulge in the politics at the working place as these things have shorter life span
and not in long run.

IT products study now represents perhaps the most appropriate assessment

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

 Due to lack of communication work should not be completed at


proper time.

 I see that company have not ample time to give proper service to
existing clients.

 So, there should be needed to reduce the time gap while providing
services to the required schools
.

 I had seen that when schools complain to the problem that arises in
the software by telephone, email mode, company is not giving
response timely. I think when client complain to the problem it
should be needed to remove within 15 days but here sometime
company take 3 month time to visit that school.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research methodology is a way to systematically solve the research problem. It


may be understood as a science of studying how research is done scientifically.
We study the various steps that are generally adopted by a researcher in
studying his research problem along with the logic behind them. It is necessary
for the researcher to know not only the research methods/techniques but also

the methodology. Researchers not only need to know how to develop certain
indices or tests, how to calculate the mean, the mode, the median or the
standard deviation or chi-square, how to apply particular research techniques,
but they also need to know which of these methods or techniques, are relevant
and which are not, and what would they mean and indicate and why.

Thus when we talk of research methodology we not only talk of the


research methods but also consider the logic behind the methods we use in the
context of our research study and explains why we are using a particular
method or technique and why we are not using others so that research results
are capable of being evaluated either by the researcher himself or by others.

This section contains the methodological issues in research. It focuses


primarily on providing help with the tools and techniques used in the research.
These tools and techniques differ from discipline to discipline. Researchers also
have specific blazes. Some will prefer Qualitative to Quantitative approaches or
vice-versa. A study that contains only qualitative data or solely quantitative data
messes the rich texture of interpretation that an integrated approach makes
possible. While this section may be organized in a way
that suggests a defined process, this is not the intention.

RESEARCH DESIGN

A research project conducted scientifically has a specific framework of research


from the problems identification to the presentation of the reports. This
framework of conducting research is known as the “RESEARCH DESIGN”.

A research design is the arrangements of conditions and analysis of data in a


manner that aims to combine relevance to the research purpose with economy
in procedure.

Research design provides the glue that holds the research project
together. A design is used to structure the research, to show how all of the
major parts of the research project-the samples or the groups, measures,
treatments or programs, and methods of assignment-work together to try to
address the central research questions. There can be following types of research
design:-

(i) Descriptive Research studies:

Descriptive Research studies are those studies which are concerned with are
concerned with describing the characteristics of a particular individual, or of a

group. Studies concerned with narration of facts and characteristics concerning
individual, group or situation are all examples of descriptive research study
most of the social research comes under this categories.

(ii) Exploratory Research studies:

Exploratory Research studies are also termed as formulate research studies. The
main purpose of such studies is that of such studies is that of formulating a
problem for more precise investigation or of developing the working hypothesis
from an operational point of view.

The major emphasis in such studies is on discovery of idea and insight.


As such research designs appropriate for such studies must be flexible enough
to provide opportunity for considering different aspects of a problem under
Etensive study.

Inbuilt flexibility in research design is needed because the research problem,


broadly defined initially is transformed into one with more precise meaning in
exploratory studies. Exploratory Research design has been used for this study.

(iii) Sampling Design

When field studies are undertaken in practical life, consideration of time and
cost almost invariably lead to selection of respondents i.e., selection of only a
few items. The respondents selected should be as representative of the total
population as possible in order to produce a miniature cross section. The
selected respondents constituted the 'sample' and the selection process is called
sampling technique. The survey so conducted are called’ sample survey'.

A sample design is a definite plan for obtaining a sample from a given


population. It refers to the technique or the procedure the researcher would
adopt in selecting items for the sample. For collecting primary data from the
sample customer through the questionnaire process, was used to get substantial
amount of information from the members of the target population so that
inductive, logic and probabilistic inferences, rather than deductive reasoning
can be incorporated in study the career growth and job Satisfaction of the
employees. There can be following types of sampling design:

(a) Probability Sampling:

Probability sampling is also known as ‘random sampling ‘or ‘chance’ sampling.

say, a lottery method in which individual units are picked up from the whole
group not deliberately but by some mechanical process.

(b) Non-Probability Sampling:

Non-Probability sampling is that sampling is that sampling procedure which


does not afford any basis for estimating the probability that each item in the
population has of being included in the sample. On-Probability sampling is also
known by different names such as deliberate sampling, purposive sampling and
judgment sampling. In this type of sampling, items for the sample are selected
deliberately by the research.

I have used non-probability convenience sampling for this study.

Type of universe:

The first steps in developing any sample design are to clearly define the set of
objects, technically called the universe, to be studied. The universe can be finite
or infinite. In finite universe the number of items is certain, but in of an infinite
universe the number of items is infinite i.e., we cannot have any idea about the
total number of items.

A decision has to be taken concerning a sampling unit before selecting sample.
Sampling unit is school/education sector all over India (Delhi & NCR,
Kolkata, Chennai, and Jharkhand)

My sampling unit is user of ERP, IVRS, SMS and IFDC.

Size of sample

This refers to the number of items to be selected from universe to constituent


the names. This major problem before a researcher the size of sample should
neither be expressively large nor should too small it be optimum.

The sample size for this study was under 50.

Collection of data through questionnaires:

This method of data collection is quite popular, particularly in case of big


enquiries. It is being adopted by private individuals, research worker, private
and public organization and even by governments. A questionnaire consists of a

number of questions printed or typed in a definite order on a form or set of
forms.

Data analysis:

Analysis of data involves a number of summarizing the collected data and


organizing these is in such a manner that they will increase answer to the
research question or suggest hypothesis if know such question or hypothesis
had initiated the study.

SaiMeddha Ventures’ goal is to produce software-based

the SaiMeddha ERP system is the schools in India. No similar
integrated technology exists at this time, but SaiMeddha will be
competing with traditional methods of institution management,
independent software off the shelf and customized software

Research and Development

One of SaiMeddha Ventures prime advantages is the combined


expertise of its principals in the design, development, and
maintenance of ERP and Portal software for the Academic
Institutions industry.

The principal technologist, Mr. Muralidharan combined


years of expertise in, respectively, Academic Institutions,
information systems and web based software development. In
addition to extensive training in industry-standard database
management systems, which allows Mr. Muralidharan to
effectively interface SaiMeddha data with existing computer
systems, he maintains a network of beta testers, consisting
