The clock ticks on relentlessly as my heart beat races.

If my calculations
prove correct, my opponents ??? will shift to position ?? on the chess board,
allowing my scheme ??? to conquer the King. The dead silence aggravates the
unbearable suspense until my opponents hand finally moves like a dj vu in
front of my eyes and the thrill of victory beams out of my face.
To me, the struggles of my mind in a chess match, through all the
variables of moves and facets of human emotions, connect deeply to those in
reality. From tackling a science problem to mapping a step-by-step strategy for
a particular project, I always tend to calculate more than one possibilities and
judge all potential aftermaths before proceeding with a decision. Such
characteristics that I developped through playing chess since I was young
helped me find and maintain my passion for science.
Like chess, science is unexpectedly intriguing. The rules that seem dry
and rigid when combined allow for many wonderful and perplex phenomena to
happen naturally. From the very basic theories I learnt in school such as the
central dogma, Darwins evolution theory, and genetic-related ones, I am
absolutely stunned by how Darwins assumption of evolution actually
interrelates to the genetic factors, which was only discovered 100 years later,
and that shut down Lamarcks theory. Also, being able to experiment on
chemicals has always been my favorite subject among others. Sadly, my school
education allows few rooms for such real experimentations, so most of the time,
I watch them on Youtube. For example, the reaction so-called Pharaohs
Serpent is due to the combustion of Hg(SCN)2 , the reaction of Ferrofluid moves
across the magnetized steel, or the biuret test that gives out a beautiful violet.
(be more explicit)
Also, chess simulates a silent atmosphere, just as science does. All the
thinking and calculations take place in hidden and winning or losing is just like
the success or failure of a scientific achievement.

But more importantly, what my parents have done and achieved so far as doctor
and pharmacist for both the sake of the community and family over 15 years is
the decisive factor that nurtured my passion of following those exemplary
careers (opened). Combining those two aforementioned factors, I decide to
pursue my passion for chemistry and biology.

However, I desire to take it up to a new level, where I can truly play a role in
rejuvenating the health of the people, by means of inventing new drugs, as well
as being a medicine consultant.
My mother is a pharmacist herself, and she has raised the family and saved
many lives for 15 years of her career. It is a notable job that I look up to and I
personally want to follow her traits of being a pharmacist.
