TS CEMENT F
TS CEMENT F is Furan resin based acid / alkali / solvent / chemical
resistant cement. It is a two-component system consisting of TS
CEMENT F POWDER (Siliceous Fillers) and TS CEMENT F SYRUP
(Furan Resin). The advantage of this product is its versatility in terms of
superior strength and better bonding properties

USE

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

It is well suited for use in chemical resistant masonry for various

industrial applications like reaction
vessels,
storage
tanks,
neutralization pits, drains, floors and other areas. Used for bedding and
jointing of Acid Proof Ceramic / Granite Tiles / Bricks used for pointing
over silicate cement as the bedding material.

On the bare substrate TS CEMENT F should not be applied directly. It

is recommended that a suitable membrane be provided on the
substrate and over this Acid Proof Ceramic / Granite Tiles / Bricks lining
is carried out using TS CEMENT F mortar.

For preparing the mortar, TS CEMENT F SYRUP is taken in a clean

vessel and required quantity of TS CEMENT F POWDER as per
recommended ratio is added and mixed thoroughly till a lump free,
butter like consistency mortar is obtained. Mixing ratio of powder can
be slightly changed up to 10% to suit required consistency /
site conditions.

Since the working time of the mortar is short, only required quantity of
mortar which can be used within the working time is mixed.

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE:

APPLICATION:
The prepared mortar is placed on the back and on the sides of
Acid Proof Ceramic / Granite Tiles / Bricks and pressed firmly over the
suitable membrane so that the bedding is uniform.
In the case of pointing, the mortar is filled to the entire depth up to
which the jointing material is racked out. The surplus material is
removed from the joint carefully without smearing onto the tile surface.
Note: When TS CEMENT F is used for pointing bricks or tiles bedded
with TS CEMENT N, the joints should be previously cured with 20-25%
hydrochloric or sulphuric acid and allowed to dry.
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
TS CEMENT F has excellent resistance to a wide range of acids, alkalis,
solvents including halogenated types, and salt solutions except those of
the oxidizing type. It is not recommended for service to hydrofluoric
acid or fluoride salt containing mediums and to oxidizing chemicals
like chromic acid, nitric acid etc. For details of chemical resistance to

TS CEMENT F POWDER

: 40 & 20 Kg bag

TS CEMENT F POWDER and TS CEMENT F SYRUP should be kept

in a cool, dry place in tightly closed condition, away from moisture,
heat and direct sunlight. TS CEMENT F POWDER and TS CEMENT F
SYRUP have a shelf life of 10 months in original packing at ambient
temperature.
In case the ambient temperature is more than 30 35oC, shelf life of the
above materials will get reduced accordingly.
Note: If Powder is wet or the shelf life of the components exceed
the limit given, mix a small quantity of Syrup and Powder for test
purpose.
If the mix ratio, working time, setting time and behaviour of the
mortar
are
normal
then
this Powder & Syrup can be used.

HEALTH & SAFETY:

Since the odour emanating from the Powder and from freshly prepared
cement is irritating slightly, it is important that the work place be
provided with adequate ventilation.
Contact with skin should be avoided, since it causes
irritation,
accompanied by itching and inflammation. Use of hand gloves,

is recommended while using TS CEMENT
F mortar. In case of contact with skin, wash with soap water followed by
plenty of clean water. If Syrup splashes into the eye, get immediate
medical attention, after cleaning with plenty of water.
